I have an informative speech due sept 23rd. My topic is "The advancement of video game technology". I am supposed to have 2 sub topics that i talk about. I was going to talk about Director A.I. (Ex: Left 4 Dead) and project Natal. I wanted to talk about other things related to this, but I have not been paying as close attention to this topic over the past few monthes. Anyone know of anything related to this I could talk about? I have to talk for 8-10 minutes, and I already have a hard enough time just getting in front of 40 people for 1 minute (which i had to do today, and i talked about going back in time to assassinate the man that created crayons).

Heres what ya do....track down the girlfriend of any one of these guy's on these forums.
All you have to do is say the trigger word 'game' and watch her eyes glaze over as she goes into the zone, at this point you say the command 'retrieve'.
Have pen and paper ready.

If you like computers, read up on Intel's new Lynnfield processor. I could give a 30 minute speech on this alone! http://www.anandtech.com/cpuchipsets/showdoc.aspx?i=3634

"Higinbotham realized how static and non-interactive most science exhibits were at that time. As head of Brookhaven Lab’s Instrumentation Division, he would change that. While reflecting on his creation, Higinbotham wrote, “it might liven up the place to have a game that people could play, and which would convey the message that our scientific endeavors have relevance for society."

98/100 isn't bad at all! It's about perfect.

I would have loved to hear this speech, mainly because I myself am very interested in the advancement of video game technology.

Depending on how long the speech has to be you may want to consider a specific area of gaming advancement, such as new controllers and user interaction, AI development, graphics advancement, and realism.

I did a paper on games before for a networking class, the main subject was about common issues with multiplayer games and how to overcome such obstacles (such as lag).

Then there's the new technology that allows different graphics cards to work together, such as an ATI and Nvidia running simultaneously.

Why? Because somebody might copy it?
