I have some 747 plane meshes that I need finished and
textured. All I have are the meshes and I'm kind of looking
for pro to moderate skilled people to help finish them up.
I do not have the textures anymore but if anyone can take them,
finish them, do some "high quality" texture adding, and make
FPS ready, you can use it them as well.

PICTURES ARE BELOW:

Yes, these are legitly in my possesion.

Email me at: [email protected] if you're interested.

Well, COD4 has Mile high Club. It's not illegal unless I mention
9/11 or go the extremes. I mean, I'm not that stupid.

I'd be happy to take a look at the meshes you have and see if I can work with them, but unless I do, I really can't tell you one way or the other. I've seen some meshes that were grouped in such a way that I just couldn't unwrap them properly.

I am positive that I've seen these elsewhere, about a year ago. Was it you that made them? Because I thought DarkFact posted these then.

ASTEK,

With the missing parts and the way it's currently pieced, it would be easier for me to start over than to try and make this FPSC ready. I'm not sure what you and DF had in mind when you made it this way, but I really don't know what to do with it. Sorry.

It's a good project and I have a great idea for a level in the air, so if I do decide to recreate it I'll get back with you on it. I would do it a little differently though.

Brian.

Ok, I checked them out. I'll need to make some small changes here, and there, but over all, I'm pretty sure I can "get 'er done".

If you can wait awhile for them, (a few weeks) I'll just go ahead and build the whole plane with cockpit, and all. It will be a mix of segments and entities (similar to my Pirate ship).

I can also build the boarding platform W/sleeve so you can board the plane as you would at the airport, or I can make a roll-away type staircase that leads to the door of the plane from the runway.

If that's O.K. with you, let me know.

Cosmic, that would be fantastic. I was thinking about something
from the movie "Air Force One". But, the segments to get on the
plane aren't a bad idea. i'm just going to have the scenario in the
air though; not it being parked or anything.

Thanks again.

ASTEK: O.K. The segments are done, and tested. All I need to do is the textures, and build the entities ( Seats, staircase, and a few other interior odds, and ends) I'm building the cockpit now.

I plan to use only 2 of the segment meshes you sent if that's O.K., but they had to be reworked due to the open areas ( no faces ). So I will add all the needed segments and entities to build the plane and will release them as an "Airport Pack".

heres what the window segment looks like so far. This one has a sky with clouds texture in the windows. I will include a second with the shades closed as well. I kept the textures clean ( no grunge) due to the fact that they keep those planes really clean, almost sanitary.

I'm having fun with this one, so I should have it ready sooner than I stated above.

Dude, that looks fantastic.
What would be sweet is if the skybox was very sky themed
and there were moving cloud decals to go outside the windows.
Just saying.

Hey, I don't think there are any wings with turbines in those meshes.
If that would be possible, that would be needed to make the overall
effect. I'm not trying to ask for too much, but its kind of weird to
look out the window and see no wings. You'll think of something
though.

Also, if you ever played Mile High Club, if the ones with the
open rooms were in those meshes, you can see what I was shooting for.
Open rooms FTW.

Astek: Hi buddy, The segs you sent contained the wall for the upper, and center decks, and a piece for the roof cap, and a bunch of floors (which are useless).

The poblem there, is that the windows are just recesses in the wall they don't cut through the whole segment. The outer part of the wall is flat, and solid. So you cant actually see out the windows, you can only texture the recessed part with either a sky or whatever you want.

After drawing up the blueprints for the overall layout, I have a choice. I can build the interior of the plane, with say 3 decks (the upper, middle, and cargo bay) and texture the window recesses for sky, on the ground, under water, closed,or whatever. Then build a model of the plane with the fueling truck, gangway, etc.

The boarding can be acomplished by building the terminal, or runway, then as the player reaches the top of the mobile stairs, or gets to the end of the gangway a new level can be loaded with the player inside the plane in front of the door.

That's the easy way to do it, and also provides the option for a cutscene. And, you can add more decks, and various other rooms, such as the gally, restrooms, and even the different class areas of the plane.

The other way is to build the plane with segments and entities, which would be very cool, but would require a really complex build, and would also restrict the size of the plane to a much smaller area.

With that said, I can change the window segment so the holes cut through the wall, and I can build a pair of wings that can be placed below the windows so that they can be seen.

LOL, I know that's a lot to take in, But I need to know which way to go, to get the look your after. If it were me, I think the ability to build the interior seperatly, offers a wider rage of options, but I'm letting you make the call here since you started it. Heh, Heh.

And I'm sure which ever way we go, everyone else will hopefully like it as well. I intend to make at least 2 color combos (blue, and red) The colors, and logos can of course be changed to make the plane unique for any game.

So let me know asap, so I know what I need to get drawn up for the build.

In the Universe, nothing ever stays the same.

I started thinking about a cool level that starts on a flight. Of course, you have to be the only one on the plane.

Now to make the center section.

Hey, those look really nice Brian. I didn't think you were going to try and tackle this. You feel like teaming up on this one together?

I've got the cockpit nearly half-way done already, and I could get started on some of the other entities in a day or so.

Let me know if you want to team up, or if you'd like to do this one on your own. Either way it's cool, Let me know brother.

I'm afraid Dale and I had a mis-communication so I want to get in here before he does. I'm going to keep working my plane on the side, but please go ahead and finish your work up for ASTEK and the rest of us. I'm way too slow and may never finish. LOL

If mine turns out worth a darn, I'll release it too.

There are two things that I have to finish (passenger door and galley) and then a few that I want to add, like some signs, drink trolley, naked stewardess, etc.

I had a lot of time this weekend and if that continues, I'll be broke but finished in a couple of days. Otherwise, it could be a week.
