My question is about video drivers

I have installed updates for my nvidia geforce 8800gts and the old drivers from the evga disc are still installed

i have heard that you are supposed to uninstall those first. would it REALLY be harmful if i just went to add/remove programs (i have xp) and removed the old evga drivers from there even AFTER i have installed the new nvidia ones?

Thanks in advance!

If you can still boot, it should be fine. Some drivers can't handle their devices being removed from the system.

Oh, wait, you aren't installing a new card, just new drivers for an existing card. Shouldn't be any problem, new drivers should have replaced the old.
