I've just found this on the BBC iPlayer, and since it was aired at 3am on TV, I'm guessing a lot of people would have missed it. So here it is, thought you might enjoy it. Theres some good points made about game design, what games have lost over time, which I imagine 50% of this forum will be too young to be aware of. Enjoy:

This was on yesterday as well, watched most of it again - it's a very interesting and amusing look at this stuff, I especially have to agree with the 2 Scottish guys, games are ****!

I always find it surprising to find so many celebrities are gamers, Dom Jolly for instance is a big XBL player, CoD4, his name is triggerhappydom - try adding him to your friends list and see what happens.

British TV seems to have a dim view of videogames on the whole, seems like that is changing more and more - before long it'll be like some parts of Asia, where they show multiplayer games on TV and stuff like that.

Yes and Mila Kunis (voice of Meg Griffin, actress in films like Forgetting Sarah Marshall) plays World of Warcraft, you tend to think, WoW, spotty nerds with a pot of Ramen saying "lol n00b" in their mother's basement (no offense to WoW players) but no, even hot celebrities like her enjoy uber pwnage.

But then, just about everybody enjoys video games and not just geeks/nerds, my flatmates 'pwn' me both at COD4 and Halo 3...it's kind of saddening really, that the geek in the flat loses to a bunch of freshers.

Though that documentary sounds interesting, I might watch it when I get back from Uni.

Charlie Brooker (the guy that wrote the show), has been into games for a very long time. I remember reading his articles in PC Zone, or PC gamer back in the day (like 1996).

He's a hilarious guy! Anyway, yes, Gameswipe was top notch, highly reccomend it to everyone!

Yeah Brooker used to write for PC Zone, now he has a pretty good column in the Guardian (or Observer). Screenwipe, Newswipe and Gameswipe are all good, seems like this might a one-off though, based on the bonus running time.
