Hey

I bought a 1TB external USB harddisk the other day, and I want to use it for backup. My plan is to have it plugged into the back usb port the whole time, and the system automatically backs itself up.

But...

If I have it plugged in and start the computer, the computer freezes at the very beginning. I can't even enter the BIOS... I do hear a suspicious scanning noise from my 1TB hard disk, as if the computer is searching the whole hard disk for something. I've never let it finish it's searching though...

How can I set it to not boot from the external HDD? I set "USB boot" to disabled, but it still does it... I found it does the same to every USB external HDD.

If anyone has the same problem and knows how to fix it, please give some tips!
