In my quest to improve my coding skills I decided to recreate an existing game that I love to play. The game will be made as close to the original as posible with some minor graphical improvments here and there.

This is an open source project as I do not intend to profit from it in any way other than to learn and gain experience. If anyone feels the desire to take a glimps at it then feel free to do so.

So far I've learned a great deal and expect more in the near future.

Lol I forgot about missingno. Abused that guy like crazy back then, recreating that bug would be fun and challenging.

The bug stems from the fact that the player's name is temporarily stored in the wild pokemon array whilst the OLD MAN demonstrates.

If you want some original pixel art making for this, I could have a go.

I dont think I'll be using the same exact array storage method as the original so the recreation of the bug will be intentional rather than a real bug. So I think I'll use an event timer kinda deal instead.

Wow thanks for the offer but I think I'll just rip em from the rom. Only trouble I'm having is with sound/music, not sure how to rip those from the rom but there are some free fan made midis around... I think.

What's that I hear in the distance, approaching fast... is it a fleece and wish? No...? Crease and resist? No... ah, Cease and Desist...

Don't expect to get an easy time from Nintendo. They will be peeved enough that you've cloned their game, let alone that you've ripped tiles from their game.

Though, it would be kinda cool if they noticed your game?
