It's been over a year since I've been on air, due to our studio being shutdown, back when our student online radio was called D-One, but now we have a new name and a fresh start. (I won't go into details of what has happened)

And of course, I'm back with a new show, with my good friend Wayne, or Alecto as he is sometimes known. We'll be playing some metal, well mostly on the more extreme and battle side of things. We've advertised it as "Music to get your blood boiling", so please do tune in...I'm on in an hour.

This URL should get you listening: (works best in the latest iTunes and WinAmp)

Click!

Our show time is: Friday 12-2pm GMT

You can join our Facebook group to make requests:

Feedback of course would be awesome.

Hey looks awesome Seppuku. I missed it today, but you're on for the two hours right after I wake up and before I have to do homework for my Friday class, so I'll tune in next week.

We've been on air for an hour and we'll be on for another hour. Our times have changed from 2-4pm. We have a special guest called Thor and another called Cornered Gerbil.

Its been fun - yes it's me doing the voice of Thor - the DIY Man

So tune in.

NO! I posted that some time after tuning in, so I did get to enjoy some viking metal and odd British behaviour.

Isn't that the Amon Amarth logo?

Ah! Awesome! We thought we'd be a bit obscure - cornered gerbil will be back next week, this time with Odin, to tell some more embarassing stories about Thor, with any luck Thor will be texting in with some stories about his father.

You'll be happy to know that Thor and the cornered gerbil did much catching up yesterday - it was truly beautiful to have brother reunite on our radio show.

Amon Amarth used it, but it comes from an actual artifact:

It's Odin riding Sleipnir. Though if you like Amon Amarth, tune in, Thor dedicated a song of their's to himself, Asator.

You tuned in too late. It's student radio, so it doesn't broadcast 24/7 and some IP Address locations are geolocked because of licensing regs.

It should run fine in WinAMP, VLC and the lastest iTunes (it'd have to be updated) - these are media players I know that have been tried.

I think more and more are using alternative media players, because Windows Media is terrible for compatibility, but it still means having more potential listeners by have WinMedia compatibility, so I'll bring it up - though there might be nothing we can do about it, as we're connecting through wavestream and I don't know what other formats they have available for streaming.

Just to add, I think Real Player is another it'll work on. I'll try out different media players when the first show is on the air today...it's 5am, so too early for any shows.

It's true, WMP doesn't have amazing compatibility ( ), but a lot of people still use it. I myself use it, and I also have foobar2000 installed.

I just checked, and foobar does support m3u.

If anybody's interested - currently and for the next 1h45mins is a one off Special with The Sheriff. He used to be very popular, he's working for a bigger radio station now. He's playing a mix of indie, dance and commercial stuff, the man I think is naturally entertaining to listen and talk to. He always had the show after one of mine in my first year.
