Everyone remember MSDNAA?

Well, unless you really want to get Windows 7 for free (instead of doing the $30 deal), you can still do MSDNAA. BUT there's a new program that just started: Dreamspark.

https://www.dreamspark.com/Products/ProductList.aspx

They're giving away Visual Studio Professional 05/08, Windows Server 08, VirtualPC, and a 12-month XNA Creators Club Academic Membership to all students.

Let jubilations commence.

Dreamspark has been around for a while! But its still worth a mention, as its one of those things that slips under the radar.

I believe you mean, "There's a program they've been doing for over a year."

But no, I'm not trying to be rude. It's actually a cool program. I recommend it for anyone who really needs the pro version of VS (which is actually not necessary for most people).

Are you guys serious?

I can't believe I haven't heard of this before. Here I am trying to convince the CS department MSDNAA admin to let me download Visual Studio when I can just get it here. Well, that'll teach me to use the Google box at the bottom of the page.

I've had 2 keys for everything on dreamspark this year. I started at one university and then moved 3 weeks after starting to another so I had 2 different logins to use.

I love having Visual Studio 2008 for free.

Microsoft Expression Studio 3 FTW!! I have used Dreamspark ever since they added my college to their database (which was several months after it started ).
