Anyone ever used http://listen.grooveshark.com/

Tons of music you can play at will. And unlike Pandora, you can play the exact song you want and seek through the songs.

Looks alright, but I'm not a huge fan of the interface. Would prefer spotify (if you have an account, but I think only people who've paid are able to send invites now), or failing that we7.com.

On the bright side, I'm listening to Singapore on Grooveshark now. Love Tom Waits.

Yeah seems just like Spotify, I was lucky enough to receive an invite and I am happy with the disposal of music at my finger tips - though I suppose it's a good alternative, if you can't pay £10 a month or don't have friends willing to pay £10 a month.

I did a search on a few good bands, it has them, so I imagine you might have a decent selection.

I'm guessing like Spotify does, advertisement and membership - there's a button in the bottom right corner saying "Remove Ads: $3/month".

One has to wonder who would do that though. Seriously.

Works for Spotify and they're charging £10/month, though it has added features like having music stored offline, higher quality sound, iPhone and other mobile phone support.

I suppose one other plus side to paying the fee would be if you're having a party, you want to please everybody's music tastes, adverts kind of break the mood, wouldn't you think?

At least that's how Spotify advertises it's 99p day pass.

Also, adverts are a little annoying sometimes - they can really break your concentration.

Well, Spotify doesn't work in the US unfortunately. Apparently, our music licensing laws are too strict, so they haven't got a US version up yet. Grooveshark, however, seems to work great. Contrary to the opinion stated above, I like the interface. It's certainly better than jango.com, which I used to use.

Person with OCD.

I'll have to check out Grooveshark. I kind of like the randomness of Pandora (sometimes), though . . . leads me to finding new artists and totally filling up my music wish list. :}
