Rather off-topic really, but I just read this and had a good laugh. (A Review of the Pirated Copy of Windows 7 I Bought On eBay, cracked.com).

Anyway, I think I'll keep onto XP for a while yet, myself. Why change what actually works?

@ Daniel

Please check the link to "Windows 7 - DarkBASIC Professional 7.4"
video, It does not seem to work.

I found I had to install DBPro in a new folder (not C:\Program Files) in this way I avoided all the run as administrator issues.
I downloaded the 7.4 upgrade and installed it, but my version now says 1.071 (which I guess is 7.1) not sure whats going on, anyone else noticed this?

If it says 1.071 then the files where not installed to the right folder. This is why I install to the default location, sometimes when you install to the default, then install again to a new location, it default to the original. Just copy the files from the program files x86 folder onto your new folder and the issue should be sorted.

Yes, the system limits access to certain folders, windows, program files x86, on the basis this is where viruses and other nasty code installs itself. By authorising it to run in administrator mode you give it permission to write anywhere.

The 7.4 link is now fixed.
