I'm Lenny Roscoe, and I love my current "job". To put it shortly: I'm a monster killer, a hunter. They've put me to long sleep, just to wake up into the new world, where monsters rule the world. I see that my boss has been friendly, and has provided me some guns. I just love the smell of gun powder with a nice mix of blood.

Only thing in my "job" that I don't like, is fear. The constant fear of death. But yeah, my motto is: "I dance in tune with what I fear to do adrenaline". So time to load my guns and kick some mutated butt.

So yeah. while I'm collecting media for Vague re-born, and working with CoZ on the H2O project, I decided to start a little side project.

It's basically just "shoot everything that moves" type of game, where the enemies are all kind of monsters from zombies to bond1's grotesque beasts. The scale of weapons is also pretty wide. From pistols to grenades, from shotguns to rocket launchers. The game will contain around 5 action packed levels, which take place in a far away desert, in the "new world".

There will propably be a small demo before I release this. But yeah, here's some screenshots. Hope you like them

I rally haven't ålayed a game that only is pure action and no excuse for a while, so this is gonna be awesome! Did you make the machine in the first screen on the wall or did you download or buy it anywhere. If you did where?

shadowfire: Nothing Capcom related here. It's just Monster Hunter

Fuzz: Oh. I wasn't aware of that

Metal Devil123: Nope. I have no idea how to model properly, so most of my models are from models packs, or TGC Store. The machine is from the TGC Store for example.

What kind of monsters are you going to have?

Perhaps you could change the name to Monster Slayer?

Well, all kinds of monsters. Spiders, zombies, mutants, worms and such.

Yeah. Could a moderator change the thread's name to "[x9] Monster Slayer - No excuses. No story. Just pure action". Thanks

Wow! Looks really great! Always fun to sometimes just make an awesome level that accomplishes nothing more than murdering mass amounts of enemies that dare stand in your way, Like Painkiller
Keep up your awesome level designing skills Juzi and I'll be looking forward to playing this when it comes out, so keep me posted

I personally don't like it. Too hard!

The fog looks nice, if you're using Errant AIs weapons, you may want Fenix Mod (for ironsights, and it's free). No story sounds promising, as mindless killing is very enjoyable imo. I would leave out the zombies, because it sounds like they would be the most numerous enemy story-wise. Maybe fit in a big boss one, come so: (attached)

Sounds promising though, waiting for the demo!

Well played!

My only concern is that there MUST be a reason for zombies. You already have a tidy little story, but zombies are the only "non-monster kinda monster" enemies, that used to be former buddies.

Take DOOM for example. You got demons, like Imps, Hellknights, etc. But the zombies weren't from Hell, they became possesed by evil.

Well, the game is just pure action, so why would there have to be reason for anything? . Zombies may also come from for example hell, and not always they're have to come from some kind of virus or bacteria.

Yeah, a simple entity can make very beatiful scenes. Let me see..

(After 1 minute)

They've been in my entity bank for very long, and I can't remember who made them, or where I got them. They're under name "rubble" and then there's scifi rubble and WW2 rubble. I have a foggy memory, that they might be made by xplosys. Try search

Okay guys I have some good news and bad news.

The bad news are, that my FPSC decided that my Monster Slayer level was "too cool" and stopped working. No wonder though, since it was almost the size of the whole grid. It may also have stopped working because of the large amount of entities I put in the level.

And the good news are, that I'm not giving up because of this little set-back. Nope, I'm going to make an even better level, this time with the latest Horror Mod. I thought that Horror Mod is the best mod for this project, because to be honest; Who needs iron sights and all those fancy gun features in a game like this? Nope, I prefer the gory headshots and all the cool features, which make the killing in some twisted way "satisfying".

I'm currently registering my Horror Mod and starting to build the first level, so expect some new screenshots tomorrow. Or if I get really productive, I may give you some screenshots today

Stay tuned
