1618 Forum Messages
147 Forum Threads

divided by 4 and a quarter years

380.7 forum messages/year
34.8 threads/year

Those numbers are quite high for me I think, more than one post a day is surprising because I'm not that active a user.

Yes , its is slightly over 1 a day. Do you think that forums should have a ranking system ? I mean sure theres admin, mods and users, but I was thinking how nice it would be to have ranks here.

Eh, no. People would start making even more senseless posts to "rank up".

Exactly... I like how even the post count isn't displayed, otherwise you get posts like "ok" or "+1" or a quote with the text "quoted for truth" etc...

Plus there is a ranking system of sorts with people earning the VIP user, valued member, BOTB etc...

Am I the only person who can't remember how to look up my stats?

547 Threads, but no clue how many posts I've made.
91 threads per year
7/mo

Assuming 6 years total.

I've only seen two "Valued Member" people, and no VIP users that I remember...Maybe I don't pay enough attention.

I think I've only seen one user with this!

He hasn't been around here for ages, but Matt Rock is probably a VIP he's forum president!

There are about 10 users that have BOTB.
I've not seen any VIPs either, but I've seen about 4 Valued Members.

I believe the order goes: Valued Member, V.I.P Member and then Community Leader.

I think you are right though and no-one has earned either V.I.P or Community Leader yet, I just remembered it from the discussion about it in the mod's lounge when it was introduced.

Doesn't Forum President constitute leadership?

indi isn't here anymore he made a rather dramatic exit...

I actually have a little secret wish that I'd love to see on this forum, and that's the Super Moderator Badge. Awarded to whoever the community feels is the best (In all aspects) MOD.
And no I'm not implying that I want it! Some people dream of being a MOD but I really wouldn't like to deal with the crap some of you have to deal with!

I know who I'd vote for as Super MOD... but I'm not telling on the grounds I might be assassinated!

Hahaha!

I meant it more as an advancement for our existing MOD squad, as in we the normal mortal user's pick someone from the divine to receive a special Super MOD badge (Which I'm sure one of our brilliant artists will provide ).

And if Rich or Lee want to give them special powers so be it!

Hi, it’s Robert with Stealthmod! You’ll be saying Stealth every time you use this mod! It’s like CoD! It’s like L4D! It’s like BioShock. A regular mod doesn’t work good – this works good and great.

I've been here since March 6th, so I've been here for 250 days.

250 / 365 = 0.68 (approximately)
1074 * 0.68 = 730.32

So I've posted about 730 posts per year, thus far.

I'm working on Swordfight again! Come tell me what you think!

But that might encourage mod vs. mod rivalry. Mods trying to curry favour with the plebs by unlocking popular threads which some other mod had locked. Anarchy would descend upon the boards, with those who were sent to protect us at each other's throats, and poisoning each other's coffee... Chaos would descend upon the world, and it would be the end of mankind as we know it.

You've got to think these things through.

EDIT: Also on the badge front, I think people who have had badges in the past should have a list on their profile showing where they were held, for example for the competitions which you only hold the badge for a month or whatever...

About 1910 posts a year, or about 5.23 posts per day. Before this post, my post count was 13370... = 10 times better than L33T?

12120 posts since arriving here in July, 2003. That's about 5.25 posts per day. That's eerily just a few hundredths of a fraction higher than VanB's.

The 'God Mod' was Richard Davey. Though, he didn't completely quit, he's watching all of us quietly. All of us acting dumb.

A person's post count is inversely proportional to their productivity. Since I've slowed down I've been way more productive.

Not necessarily! See it's the MODS job to keep these boards clean, so by unlocking popular threads then their clearly going against the AUP and don't performing their job properly.

Besides it was just a secret wish that will not eventuate...

I honestly tend to agree with this. Unless I'm on a forum doing research for one of my projects (whitch can be time consuming) then I've obviously not working on them.
