I want to upgrade from 32 bit to 64 bit for windows 7 but i don't ant to format my PC and loose my data. can you upgrade to 64 with out worring about your data getting deleted? i look forward to your answers.

you can't unfortunately, you will need to reformat and reinstall windows to change from 32 bit to 64 bit

Make a backup on a secondary hard drive first. After installing Windows 7 on three systems, it has always kept all the data from the old installation in a folder, but you should make a backup just in case.

and yeah i'll back up everything though i'm going to wait til i buy more ramn want an 8 gig system so i need to upgrade to 64.

I made a school boy error yesterday. I ordered 32bit Win7Pro for my 8gig system I'm building. Luckily I realised just in time and changed to 64bit (I am buying OEM, so I only get 1 version in the box). That would've been a proper headache.
