Make sure to move the task bar to the top of the screen and autohide, as well "

Yes, you DEFINITELY would need to move the taskbar and auto-hide it, in order to yield a satisfying frustrated co-worker.

Programming is too difficult for me, unfortunately...darn.

That is really quite bizarre and I feel bad for you, because my experience has been completely opposite. It recognized every single device I plugged in, and didn't even ask me if I have a driver CD or anything. It connected to the net and installed *everything*, including a no-name crap webcam from Windows '98 era that refused to work properly on XP, and some weird proprietary MIDI-2-USB converter thingie I prayed would work. Well, it detected everything without a hickup.

I had a similar experience on Vista. Plugged in HP printer/scanner combo, sat back for five minutes and it was done. Latest drivers from Windows Update and no hassle.

None of the crap that comes with the CD installer either.

Like Jeku, I've never had a problem with devices and Windows 7. Everything I've plugged into my laptop has worked within a few seconds and no hassle. I'm really very thrilled with Windows 7 so far.

I did that to my dad once, he already hated computers and he destroyed his!
I had to pay for repairs

Yes, Windows 7 has been a really pleasant ride! I can't wait to install my retail version .

Lol will I notice any difference's between the RC and the Retail? Apart from the fact that I'll lose the dynamic language's and bitlocker?

To be fair to Win7, it did detect everything and install it all. I didn't have any issues getting going. It's just, many things are showing hardware compatibilities that only surface once you start digging into the functionality.

Everything was setup really simply. Top marks. But nothing works 100% ... very frustrating.
