Has anyone been able to save a movie in HD from the latest Microsoft Movie Maker for Windows 7? If so how because it's not an option on mine.

Yes there is an option, on the "home" tab, all the way to the right where it says sharing, expand or scroll that box and you should find an hd option.

I hate the new Windows Live movie maker, and prefer the old one because it has better editing and export options.

I downloaded Movie Maker 2.6 from Microsoft, then added custom HD export options by following the instructions in this video, works with Windows 7 just fine: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CA37hh4kZN4

The video is 5 minutes long, but in reality could be condensed to "unzip this file to this folder" and you're done.

As do I, it's useless! I liked the 2.6 version a lot better. I'll take a look at the vid, thanks muchly bond.
