So who's waking up at 4am to get crazy deals tomorrow? Is there even anything out this year that has people going crazy?

My only plan is to go out to see what kind of deal I can get on a Blu-ray player, but that'll happen at whatever time I feel like waking up.

Anyone know of any crazy deals they've heard they care to share? I know Newegg has a bunch of stuff on sale right now, like an internal LG bluray player for $50. It's tempting.

I'm going to be checking Newegg tomorrow morning for a decent laptop for a friend.

I knew for years it would happen eventually... But I never wanted to believe.

There's a mall nearby where I live that's opening at 12:00 AM, yes, THANKSGIVING MIDNIGHT for sales.

Personally, I'm sleeping in tomorrow. To me, not dealing with the crowds of insane people is worth any extra savings I might get, so I prefer to wait until later in December.

So they took a traditional American Holiday Time, and completely commercialized it to an extent they have queues lining up outside there stores at midnight?

This is why im never keen on christmas\birthdays, i've never given out a christmas card to anyone, even my kid brother, Humbug, but there never disappointed as they know i always give them money instead.

This is why i don't like holidays, if you want advise on an excellent present for any kid, Just Put the money in a card, they will be more than happy, Im 28 and every year my Auntie in London still sends me £10 in a card for my birthday every year, even at 28, it dosn't get disappointing

I'll wait for Boxing Day, as we don't have Black Friday.

MSon, it's not a Thanksgiving related day. It's just the last Friday of November (usually), when many people get paid, and many people start holiday shopping. Retailers view this as a great way to put out sales to draw people in. It's their opportunity to get into the "black", or draw a profit.

I'll probably be putting the money I'd be spending on something like a TV into silver instead.

There's a Xbox 360 Elite bundle at Kmart for $299 that includes Lego Batman, Pure and Halo: ODST. Of course it's the last one that I care about

Gotta get up at 5:45 A.M... which is under 5 hours away.

I thought Black Friday was something to do with a day where there was some sort of economic collapse - shows how much I know...

Ahh wall street crash related. The shopping one says there was an earlier thing too. Also, got to love the Steely Dan song, from one of their best albums...

I find it rather ridiculous that people do this. It's obvious that people don't place any value on their time or sleep. There's not just the price to consider.

There are a bunch of 'Black' days and I keep getting them confused. For a moment I though you were all talking about bushfires

I'm working at a Target today in about an hour. We open at 5am. This will be my most hated day of work. Especially since I'm still new there.

I hear the new people open the doors. Good luck, be safe!

Just got back from Kmart. I got the last Elite with lego batman, pure and a free copy of halo: odst. I am pleased. Just surfing the net a bit to wind down from the chaos and then going back to sleep.

Super Mario is $10 at Gamestop, they're also offering a DS for $60. Only other thing I wanted to grab were kid's coats for $7, originally $45 at Walltrash.

Haha, last year I worked Black Friday at Target, fun stuff eh? Luckily I was closing (well that's the only time I was happy to close) instead of opening, but I was in Electronics/Toys and it was still intense.

Thankfully, for most of it, even though I was there when it opened, I was in the back deboxing. For most of it I was actually working in the back, either deboxing, or working the trash compacter. Later on though I had to move some products from the backroom to the floor..and let's just say something that usually would take me a couple minutes, took me closer to 15 or more because of all the customers requiring help...being flow team I'm used to being out of the store by or shortly after opening xD

I got some DS games for my siblings for Christmas, a Fleece coat <3, and a Sony Bravia home theater system. Have yet to hook it up but it looks really nice! 200$ off 18 months interest free financing will make it feel almost free!

Best Buy had a bunch of BluRay movies for only $8, so I picked up a few to go with my new Panasonic player, only a $100.

So I'm at the bar until about 2, then I got dragged out to an old navy sale at 3am. Yea, 3am and we didn't get out of the checkout line until 6am. Needless to say, somebody owes me big time.

Did it start snowing where you're at? It was in columbus. My friend stood outside best buy in that for ...... a boost mobile phone. I made fun of her for that.

Hahahaha. Wow. Yeah it was snowing, by the time we got out we had to brush off the car and everything was slushy and nasty. It was worth the wait though. We had a lot of fun and all got something we went for, so it worked out.

@Agent Dink- Did you go to the Canton, Ohio Best Buy? That is where I spent the chilly night at. I picked up a Quad core HP computer with 1TB hard drive and 8GB of memory for $500 from Best Buy this morning. The computer is well worth the wait and I am very thankful the Lord actually let me get one considering how few the store had.

Cheers,

Nope, I was at the brand new one in Strongsville. Not too far away though, a quick hop on the freeway, hahaha. Lot's of Ohioans here!

Dang more Ohioans! I was in Cincinnati and it was snowing and the wind was pretty crazy. Wasn't able to acquire the DS and Mario, but I got the coats.

Well, today's my 18th birthday, so I went shopping, but also got a gift or two. I got Left 4 Dead 2 (360), Assassin's Creed 2 (PS3), a year subscription to Xbox Live Gold, KOTOR (Steam sale), Madden 10 (iPhone), The Sims 3 (iPhone), a Zoom G1X guitar pedal, and a Starbucks gift card.
