Completely!
It's the only way to prepare for big ideas. I like to take an established gameplay and put my own spin on it - like Arkanoid for instance - there's things I hate about Arkanoid and things I like about it. So I made my own Arkanoid game with ideas I've had since I was a kid, like the paddle being more mechanical with parts that fold out instead of just a different sprite, and things landing on but not necesserily killing the paddle. It's a lot of fun to work like that - we have the sort of freedom that industry professionals would kill for

. My games so far probably aren't very original, but I'm well prepared for doing my own crazy ideas now.
The reason why I pointed out the difference between your iPhone games is that I can see iBugz forming quite a following - and following it up in future with a game like Fathers Land would really establish yourself on the iPhone I think.
I'd love to see iDarkBasic

- I expect TGC would love to see that as well!, maybe one day. Who knows, that might be the next step for TGC's Facebook Arcade.
