How can we help? Nobody can legally send you the contents of a commercial CD, except the company that made the software. Your best bet is to contact them.

Honestly (and if I'm not allowed to say this on here can a mod remove it please) I'd probably download it illegally. I don't really bother about the legality of these sorts of things, it's more a moral issue which keeps me from downloading stuff which people shouldn't be able to get for free. However in this situation, when I had already paid for it, I probably would do it. If you ever found the disc, you could delete this install, go back and reinstall the legal copy.

You could always try contacting the company it came from and explain your situation. Some companies will send you a replacement CD for basically the shipping costs. Or, they may not. Never hurts to try, though.

If you bought it, then and you still have the serial, then thiers no problem as far as i can see, dont use a crack just use your serial.

As long as at one point youv bought a license then its your free to do with it.

Yes, but only download the program you own don't get carried away , the same situation applies if lets say you bought a game and lost the CD you can get a no-cd patch for it which is what I have had to do just as long as you have a legit serial.

It's not actually legal to download a copy but I doubt the developer cares too much because you've already paid for one.

Athlon64 2.7gHz->OC 3.9gHz, 31C, MSi 9500GT->OC 1gHz core/2gHz memory, 48C, 4Gb DDR2 667, 500Gb Seagate + 80Gb Maxtor + 40Gb Maxtor = 620Gb, XP Home
Air cooled, total cost £160

I do believe it is illegal to download copies of programs that you already own. I know there's a big misconception when it comes to dowloading game roms, which is illegal, even if you own the cartridge. Though it might be different.

I'd say just email the developer, most if not all programs and games require you to register your legal information, so it be really weird if they couldn't provide you with a new CD considering they have you on record.

Though if it's an older program you might be shiz-outa-luck. I still have my install disc for Raydreams 3D, only problem the manual was destroyed in a flood several years ago and it had the serial number in it...so I can't install the sucker...good times.
