Site works for me - although I have no right to request this, could you remove the youtube links from your post? The episodes are being posted to my site to promote my site, future eps and mailing list not my old youtube account

Sorry, again I realise that is a cheeky request!

I thought that was a decent episode mate. I assume you left it unseen because you thought it was crap? I enjoyed it! Mr Man is a fool!

To be fair Nex, the internet connection is often flaky between Scotland and The Fifth Plane of Oblivion.

Is is a problem with Opera maybe? Not sure. Probably not, but I'd see if another browser can do it.

The episode had some pretty good parts in it, but I agree it's not as good as the others.

I am so excited for the new episodes. Looking forward very much to seeing them. Can you say how many episodes is it?

Neither Firefox nor (eww) IE can do it. Like I said, ping can't find the hostname so it's above browser-level. I caught the episode on YouTube. I think it could have been a fantastic episode if the ending was a little more neatly tied up. It just sort of... ends.

Thanks! Don't forget, it's a reboot, though. It's really just a proper retelling of the original episodes, and now Paton Break is one 'story arc' instead of it's own series. In terms of ideas and jokes, its maybe half new and half old.

There are 7 main episodes, 20 mins each. 2 more in the works for after that and then that REALLY IS the end of Milk Paton.

Yep. Good plan to end it mate. Onto pastures new. You can revive it as and when some hollywood director finds an old episode and goes 'DEAR GOD! We must make this into a full blown series and broadcast it on Sky'.

Then you can laugh in their faces and turn them down, forgoing the millions of pounds of royalties, just to be the bigger man.

Totally. I've spent what, like 4 years on it? But that's cool - it's pretty much the time it takes for a regular 'film' to make it to screens etc. It's just taken that long to 'get it right'.

Quite excited about the new series; I think it has what it takes to be proper successful.

I have a question ...

How many times has Milk Paton been binned/recycled, and reborn from a new 4 pint bottle of semi-skimmed?

That's all the episodes man. Just be thankful you 'got into it' now, because other people have been waiting since 2007 for new stuff ! lol

There is an announcement on the webpage - I won't be posting any more MP stuff here for a while so keep checking www.milkpaton.co.uk

Well, I think the feature film idea is good but 3D? :S TBH - i hate old style 3D (both red/blue and yellow/blue colourcode) - they just don't work well. Sure a few things look like their popping out of the screen, but the colour is always out, if just weird coloured outlines around things

My personal thoughts are, 3D is good as an experiment, or as a novelty, but it's not for me personally. I wouldn't be excited about it at all. All I care about is the story, and humour. In fact, I find wearing the red/blue 3D glasses screws up my eyes a bit after a few minutes, so I'd be reluctant to watch a feature length Milk Paton using 3D. Also, like Blobby, I dont think it looks that great either.

Just my opinion!

Forgo the 3D and spend the time to make the rest of the experience better. Personally I don't think the 3D will make it that much better, but I'm sure you have plans up your sleeve, so I leave it up to you.

Yeah we have a kind of joke in store with the 3D, we've already decided against using it seriously. The technology isn't there for home use yet.

The current priority is to finish it before April, basically. I think the massacre that it's seen in the editing room in recent days is for the best - over an hour has been cut out of it and it's gonna be a pretty streamlined action packed film now.

Good choice not to go with 3d,it aint that good yet. This years 3d LCD monitors will maybe bring usefulness but not yet.

Oh and I cant wait to see the new coolness of Milk Paton, maybe you could put all episodes ever made for download once its all over? I would love to burn the stuff to a DVD and enjoy watching over again.Paton Break is just awesome,"lets play a quick game of connect 4" lol.

Out of interest, why does the menu bar at the top right change depending upon what page I'm on? The size and content are both very erratic.

Some things to consider,

1) Depth of field. We've gone for a shallow look

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Depth_of_field

2) A lot of it is upscaled SD footage.

3) The final product will be seen by most people in DVD quality, so it wont matter.

This is a months editing work shortened to about 4 minutes! I don't work on this full time, probably about 5 or 6 hours a day. I think its an interesting video, though.
