Yeah, that would be pretty cool, having Trent remix the original soundtrack, maybe even get some guest artists. What strikes me is that Quake became an engine then any game made with it had to be just like all the other games. Except Half Life, which actually did a lot with the Q2 engine. But my point is that Quake was a very gothic and mysterious shooter. It could be redone and look incredible. I liked Quake2, but Half Life simply owned it left and right. Then Quake3 was entirely different (but great), and Quake4 is not even worth the £5 you can get it for these days.
The original Duke3D, with all those diverse levels, secret bits, traps. There is very little wrong with the gameplay in Duke3D and Quake, it's the visuals that could benefit, and opening these titles up to new players would be cool. I know that Duke3D already has a XBL version, but it's basically a port - a HD mode with better media would have been cool.
