Well, last week my family and I flew to Melbourne to see a Green Day concert (my brother is obsessed with them) for a Christmas present, all though I'm not a huge fan I didn't mind. Anyway, the concert was canceled because apparently the singer had food poising and the concert was postponed till the next day, but we had to fly home then so we had to refund our tickets. The money didn't refund for 48 hours so we couldn't spend it and all the taxi drivers barely could speak English and didn't know where anything was. So, fail.

whats wrong with Greenday? Besides, he said that it was his brother's Christmas present. He said he isn't really a fan.

So what if I talk to myself? Its the only way i can have an intelligent conversation around here.

Thing with Green Day is that they actually paid their dues - they are a touring band, and have more live experience than most of these teeny punk bands put together. They know how to put on a good show.

I like the old Green Day, Dookie album, and stuff like that - back when Billy Jay would never dream of wearing eye liner or pandering to 'the man'. My fave Green Day song is Brain Stew, really short and old - but the guitar riff is legendary.

I'm with VanB here. Their old stuff was just such nice simple melodies, almost the melodies that everyone can think of but just makes you think it's too simple to turn into a song. They used to be easy listening, and now they've turned all douchy emo. I quite like "Wake me up when September ends" though.

Personally, I thought that song sucked, but I never liked green day. But like you, I liked them a lot more in the pre-eye-liner days than now. Regardless, they were so popular back then, I played the song anyway for some 8th grade project we did.

Welcome to the Melbourne CBD. I was there for 3 days, and it was an absolute mess. Damn tram systems.
