Same - love Christmas - don't want to sleep through it. Although I am sitting on Sibelius writing cheesy Christmas music, which is great fun...

It's annoying that I can't actually sleep...it's not excitement like when I was a kid, but because of this bloody cough...well at least I woke myself up finding my ear unblocked, huzzah! It'll mean I'll be able to spend Christmas being able to hear out of both ears. That's victory, I'm sure.

It's 3:30am and I am unsure what I can do to keep myself entertained, I fear now going to bed and finding my ear blocked up again when I wake up.

I may have scored a girlfriend this Christmas eve... That's a good sign of things to come. I've not even gotten to my presents yet!

Seppuku, my girlfriend and I feel you man. I'm so sick of being sick. At least we are both feeling a bit better today.

Bah. I've been debugging this whole day so far. Not very merry, albeit it has only been one hour and twenty four minutes through the day. I think I may be up all night.

lol, me too, ear is now unblocked, so I can hear properly again, I just got to get rid of this bloody cough and blocked nose, well, they say Jaegermeister was meant to be cough medicine, perhaps it's worth getting started early on the alcohol. Even if it is before breakfast.

Well Merry Christmas, who care's if I've said it already, it's bloody Christmas.

Four hours sleep for the past 2 days, drunk on champagne, and the kitchen's burning down. BEST CHRISTMAS EVER!

I accidentally inserted a 'with' into that sentence, and for several minutes I though Wow sep, inappropriate. I need sleep.

Ha ha, but thank you for the wishful thinking on my behalf.

Not a bad Christmas, we didn't open our present till late, because my brother being a Chef often ends up working on Christmas and we thought we'd be fair and wait for him to finish. As always it's a relaxed social thing for the family, except this year my sister has had a friend staying around, who would have been alone for Christmas.

I just bloody wish I wasn't ill. But Christmas ain't over until we've done a rounds with the relatives, and it seems this year they're all coming to us, so tomorrow, we'll be entertaining my aunt and uncle.

Also, in terms of presents, not done too badly:

Games -
Borderlands
Gears of War 2

Books -
Stephen King - On Writing
Bret Easton Eliis - American Psycho
Ray Bradbury - Fahrenheit 451 (asked for it as so many seem to recommend it)
A Meditation guide

CDs -
Emperor - IX Equlibrium
Finntroll - Nattfodd
Pink Punk - Zombie God Delicious (Spoken Word with music)

Random-

Buddha Ornament

More to come.

Spent the evening playing video games and watching Tim Minchin's live DVD...flipping hilarious - some of his little language speeches and speeches on offensive material are no doubt VERY handy for some Uni work I've got to do over Christmas, so thank you Tim Minchin.

Christmas dinner was awesome as per usual, to go along with the Turkey this year we had a duck, which was mighty tastey.

Good call. Still not read American Psycho, but Fahrenheit 451's brilliant.

Got a keyboard, a guitar grade 8 book, a Randy Newman CD, a couple of DVDs (Inglorious Basterds and An American Werewolf In London), some provisions for uni (food, toothpaste, etc.) and some socks (from my aunt and uncle who have got me Ted Baker socks for Christmas for the past 4 years or so). Oh and a phone. And probably many other things. But the first two are kind of occupying all my attention. Been playing keys all day, except for a brief period having a look at this from the Guitar book. Decent tune. I was impressed actually compared to some of the rubbish they put in these grade books...

American Psycho is meant to be sick in places, at least one of the girls in my class was reading out some quite sick bits on the Bus back from the British museum last semester, I won't describe what she read out, after all this is a family forum...it's one of the books we need to read for our module, but it's meant to be a good book anyway.

I just spent an entire £15 itunes voucher on Tim Minchin music, so that's my season's songs sorted. And Ipod touches are amazing for writing music with, I've got a cool little app that'll play me chords with. Dead useful.

^Awesome^

Got a few more presents today, a couple of CDs - "Hindsight" by Anathema and "Heim" by Sigur Ros. Both awesome albums. My uncle got me a bottle of beer that was from a barrel that previously had rum...sounds interesting, even if I'm not a beer drinker, maybe my taste for rum will make a difference. Got Bruno on DVD too.

Also, I got a copy of Bruno Schulz's Street of Crocodiles - a collection of short stories he published in 1934, this is significant because he was a Jewish Polish writer writing in Poland, so you've got a snapshot in his writing just before the segregation of Jews and the use of concentration camps, I've read a couple of his stories before and it's somewhat eerie with that hindsight, especially knowing he was shot by the Gestapo for walking into the Aryan neighbourhood.

His work is quite dark and his description quite rich and imaginative. Though some find it difficult to read.
