This is what I got from it!

" has anyone successfully exported a .x model containing bone animation which was skinned using Physique from 3ds max 4.2."

DBPro does not support the physique animations that is done with bones in max, you have to export boned animations (that takes little space in the .x file) or you must make all your animations with physique applied in max then export .x file with frames animation (the xyz for all the vertices for all the frames!) which takes a lot of space, and is not compatible with other animation softwares (i think). Physique in max is a physics engine that calculates the correct animations according to rules of physics (just like the title), and to make the same kind of animations the game engine must have some kind of support for physics animation....

If you are really clever, you might adopt the free physics SDK "ODE" or (Open Dynamics Engine, found in www.q12.org) into DBPro with use of the DBPro SDK.

Then you would have a hell of a animation engine...

Maybe we should tip the makers of DBPro of this to incorporate the ODE Engine, that would have been real cool. I know The engine Quest3D har done it..

I believe there is a .X exporter called Panda Exporter (or something like that) which will export a mesh from 3dsMax4's Physique. I've messed with it a little and gotten some good results on simple meshes.
