Q: Woah! Another Project? What happened to the Shavra remake?

Well, Its done. I`ve builded a final version weeks ago but there is this bloody bug. I probably have to wait for a new FPSC Version to rebuild it but I`ll release it as soon as possible.

If you want to read more about that bug, click here

Looks like there are more people having this error, I even got E-Mails from some guys who have this problem but no solutions.

Ok, alright... what about your other Projects?

Well, the Shavra Remake is done, the sequel is canceled.
Missing in Action should be my Masterpiece so I will continue working on it after I`ve finished this game and the almost finished Disasterpiece.

So... I`m currently working on this!

So... what is this?

After I finished Shavra I had so much Scifi Stuff left that I decided to start another project. I remembered an old concept I designed already years ago and invented the new story for this.

This is a brutal Adventure-Horrorgame, and these are the features:

*The most dark and scary scifilevels you`ve seen in FPSC
*Shocking Gameplay in a claustrophobic Area
*New spawning techniques to create true horrormoments
*Loads of Guns,Monsters and Gore (yes...this IS a feature)
*New Shadereffects
*Adventure Like Gameplay passages and an interactive environement
*3 big Levels full of insanity
*Cool Soundtrack and fully synchronised (or how the hell you spell it) Charackters

Sounds cool! Tell me something about the story!

The Story:

You play as Dimitri Sergjewitch, a 37 Years old slovakian chemist, who killed his wife. Sie haben sie dabei überrascht wie sie sie mit ihrem Nachbarn betrogen hat und erdrosselt. You surprised her in bed with your annoying neighbour and strangled her to death. Filled with guilt, you gave yourself up to the police. In a near future, intelligent criminals like scientists or high grade technicians are brought to the IMS → International Moon Station (Very creative...I know ) So their potencial isn`t wasted. There aren`t any freelance scientists working so far away from earth. Most employees suffer under depression from Isolation and the higher radiation level. The Prisoners aren`t hold captive. They are just watched by trained security personel. The Base is sectioned in

- Military Tests and Research (Experimental Weapons and dangerous material)
Chemical and Psychological Studies for medical uses (your station)

- Final Storage or recycling of nuclear waste

- Mines (smallest part)

- livingarea / employeemaintenance etc.

- Telecommunicationresearch and broadcast

- Psychiatry for the dangerous and the unsaveable insane

- Secret Facility

You start your work under strict security precautions. Depressions from the monotonie, sad environement, strange gravity behaviour even with the stabilisators and radiation ceased as you met the attractive but slightly insane chemist Samira. She seemed to like you so you invited her to a few caffe latte (made from instant powder and milk replacementmaterial)... well, after a few of these improvised dates, you two get layed. Without your agreement, she injected you a syringe with a chemiecocktail that increases your sexual potencial abnormaly but knocks you out for 48 hours. So you passed out. (Not the usual “you awake in a hospital, you have lost your memories, zombies are everywhere but your lucky to be armed” story, eh? )

As you finally woke up, you realised that somethings wrong. It was just a feeling that proved as right as you left your room. People you knew have turned into ...things... But thats not enough... the station is now haunted by abnormal inhuman beings. You wouldn`t dare to think about their heritage...

So...another Zombie Shooter?

Not really. There are Zombies in it, but they are ( a bit like in Doom...) the easy ones. I have way more impressive and dangerous enemys in this and here you go with the story behind this:

In the mentioned secret facility. Scientists where investigating a new sort of synthetic lifeform. The Genesislichen. A symbiotic lifeform...some sort of friendly parasite that can be injected a lifeform to reinforce it. It reads in the basic genetics of a being and regenerates it. Cancer could be healed and even lost limbs could regrow. But unfortunately, the Symbiont has discovered way more in the genetics of a human being... Testpersons started to mutilate... and turn into things. Not everyone was improved...most people would turn into mindless zombies, but some would turn into uberbrutes. The lifeform started rioting and took the whole facility.

Sounds cool! Can the player be infected

No, but maybe I`m doing a sequel.

okay...the gameplay?

This will be a short 3 Level Game. But you have to spend some time in a level (with permanently spawning enemys, so you won`t be bored with searching a key on an empty map) with opening all the doors, finding keycodes, activating machines, investigating etc. And of course, loads of action.
You`ve been gone for some time...where were you?

Well, I`ve been busy with some other stuff and I didn`t feel like doeing much on the computer. (I have this little problem with redhaired girls...they make me totally submissive...and then I`m busy with timeconsuming stuff...anyway...nevermind...) I`m back! And I`ll release some more freebies soon

Got some screens?

Jupp, but they are really WIP:

One of the Zombie Enemys. This is an older shot. I have improved the graphics (glove, lightning and specular map of Bond1`s awesome new packs watereffects) Bad thing that the screens turn that dark -.-

At first, your fighting through the base with only a pipe (final handtexture...I may add a few more details to the pipe)

The G22 Pistol. This will probably be the most used weapon in the game.
(Old Shots)

The M4 Rifle with (unused) Electroshockmodule-launcher. The heaviest weapon of the Lunar Security Forces.

The Style of the environement. The IMS was designed for functionality...not comfort or quality.

Some Screens of the LivingArea-Sleepingrooms. By building the Base, the architects haven`t planned any lifecomfort, so pipes and other machines run straight through your room. If your unlucky, you`ll have a noisy waterpipe next to your bed.

Also noticeable: The amount of gore in this game.

Well...a kinda random shot.

The Shotgun... will save your life and kick some serious butt.
And YES this game has full Airmod support.

Well, as you might see...I just started working on this project and I haven`t really much to show yet.

Anyway! I`m curious to find out what you guys think about this concept.

Ideas, Critics, Comments?

[Please Note: I`m not english...this is a try to make you guys understand what the projects about.]

Incredible screenshots! You've done a awesome job there! Some shadows looks a bit 'pixelated' but everything else is so beautiful, congrats Wolf. (Maybe increase a bit lightmap blur or lightmap size...)

The game is 3 levels, so a demo wouldn't be so necessary.

Awesome! Really amazing lighting skills. I even see some (retextured?) stock media in there, and it doesnt even look like stock media! It looks professional, only thing is is that green light in the next to jast shot is a bit weird looking.

You have to make it +18? Because I'm under 18 (Probably 90% of the people here under 18) and I really wanna play this.

...or you can make two different version one for kids one for grown-ups. It would cool.

Are you changing the gun's flak for that, cause if you are then it'd be awesome to have some sort of electrical shock

Your work looks great as usual (story sounds a bit like Doom) and it looks incredibly fun to play.

This is looking superb as usual my friend, I'm always intrigued by your re-texture work on hands, models, segments and of course, enemy characters. I see they're in full force again in this project, which really gives it a unique, dark and grim element which helps reflect the morbid atmosphere in the storyline and environment. Looking forward to playing it

Cheers

Doom on the Moon

No, the Shockmodule is mentioned, but not used. The Security Forces in the game used these to paralyze possible "security threats", without killing them.

looking at these screens, there are absolutely no level design flaws. the lighting in that room conveys warmth, but with the proper music, could keep the player on edge, like the battle was heating up.

one thing I did notice was the pipes randomly protruding out of the ground and then going right back down again. is there a reason for this? because it would be a waste of building materials in real life.

I just noticed, that in teh last bundle of screenies, in the first screen, you have a wall light (stock) on the floor, next to the pipe. Retextured. Sometimes you don't easily notice what's stock. At first I wal looking like: that's a nice lamp, where did he get it. Well, the screenies are nice as always

Nice screenshots, it'll be interesting if you can pull off that neat gameplay stuff you mentioned in the OP.

Incidentally, just a suggestion, see in picture #4 how you have that ribbed metal on the left? I'd say use that trick a lot more, use it as often as possible. The levels of Dead Space use it everywhere and it's easy to do...just make a basic model and then copy/paste it a bunch of times. It adds a lot of detail for minimal work. I'm using that trick a lot in my game anyways...

Also dunno if you're using a mod or not but if you are and can do it, I'd put normal and specular maps on everything. It really does add that next-gen shine, make the metal dirty and grimy. Of course that's all just extra stuff, the level seems pretty good so far as is
