If you have used FPS creator then you know that is has like a window like thing that lets chose prefabs, etc. In a GUI what would that be called.

Is it called that for everything because I already knew that it was called that for FPS but I want to make my own and wanted to have the correct name.

edit: Before I make my own, is there any other way of making one simply with a free plug in or something of that sort

I would think that in programming it would be called a file browser as Venge said. As for a free plug in, I guess that would depend on your programming language. Search for code snippets of the language you are using.

if you want an fps creator style object selector, this has some bugs, but it genrally works but it uses bluegui which isn't free.


Otherwise, there are free dlls out there to open a file dialog which would be easier to implement.
