I'm sure i've seen a similar logo to that "Creative Design" logo somewhere else...

Just can't pinpoint where I've seen it.

[EDIT] I'm slightly worried by this:

Thanks to those who have emailed me.

Bigadd, i dont like you accusing me of copying other work. I have not seen that logo before i made my 'Creative Design' logo. I got the back part off my partner and i changed/finished the rest.

@BiggAdd, im not saying your wrong but maybe they stole Shaun's?, although its very unlikely it is a possibility. Maybe some dates could comfirm some sutff here.

Edit: Shauns picture looks lower ress than the other to my naked eye, Shaun i think you will need quite a lot of convincing here. Its allmsot impossible that both logo's were made with the exact same method..

I don't care if you "don't like me accusing you", the fact of the matter is that your logo matches EXACTLY to the one on this website.

There is no way that you made that. It doest help either that if you google "Creative Design", the one from their design studio is on the first page of Google Images....

As a matter of fact. I did. And as a mod, you should know that you cant accuse someone of stealing without proper proof.
I made the original logo over 1 year ago. But i lost the origonal .psd 1 month ago because of the PC being fried, and if you remember i got crit back on the logo and was able to change itso it looked better (Either by Alucard or coffeegrunt) a while back.

i have indeed seen this image before across the web,
i saw it before you posted bigadd, and i thought "Funny, i swear ive seen that logo before".
however i cant place my finger where it was, it was a different link to biggadds.
I dont see the need to point fingers.

Actually as a mod its my job to decide if somebody is telling the truth over the internet. And I've already given proof.

And I knew you were going to say you lost the PSD file. What fonts did you use?

I did though. My pc fried just over a month ago, and that was where i stored it (before i got my laptop)
Now, if we could get back onto the topic of logo design? Im pretty sure that the requests are what this thread is about.

the person who has the "full" version, seems to have the same consistency in the font.

u can however get applications that can read images and understand the words, and even say what font it is.

and now you could say thats what they did, however im not sure why they would want to go through that effort for the design, just to add "Inspirational, with a comical lightbulb"

haha, what do you know, i opened them both im photoshop, and this image sits directly ontop of the old one, where it has that logo.

exactly the same size, coincidence?

Guys, can we just leave it alone?

What I don't understand is, why did everyone reply to free logo's, but not free desktop wallpapers?

Enjoy me, I am JDmino.

I left it before Bigadds post (2 posts ago) but he kept on going.

Anyways, I suppose logo's are more needed. (As custom ones are hard to come by) Desktop backgrounds are generally everywhere on the net.

Because a logo needs to be unique, it needs to stand out, it's important. A desktop wallpaper can be found anywhere on the internet, and for a lot of people including myself, it isn't some design, it's a photo of ourselves or our families.

Im with veron. Most people find them, make their own or use images of their familys. Its easier to search the net than post a request and wait a day or so.

A day? Man, if it takes you a day to make a decent wallpaper, there is something wrong with you. I can make something between 10minutes-1hour. Same with logos. For example:

he never said it takes a day, it might take the person a while to get the request and then to have some free time to do it and then to actually do it then get a chance to post it online, it could easily take at least a few hours!

PC are such time bombs...you'd think after 30 years of consumer computer's being out that they would fix the whole, "my computer fried/exploded/was hit by lightning" problems.

I've had a pc since they became publicly available and I've only had one computer die on me, and that was because I dropped it down a stair well...don't ask.

Anyway, your logos are no good in my opinion. They're just text mostly...if you developed the font yourself, then it might be an achievment...as of now there just no good..and I'll take BiggAdd's side on the first one being stolen. Shame on you.

And your example shows you only spent 10min doing it. There's nothing wrong with taking a day or even a week when designing any graphic. I've seen wallpapers people have spent months working on, and it shows.

Sorry Shaun, but BigAdd has some very compelling evidence. Same shades of colors which are only off by a few bits, probably due to one being GIF and the other JPEG compression. Exact same font with identical letter spacing and positioning. And the fact that you can overlay your graphic onto theirs perfectly, what would you think?

So if a monkey painted random colored pixels on a canvas........ I'm not really going to calculate the odds of creating this identical design pixel for pixel.

ADHD? You should get checked out by a doctor if your having problems like this, and I'm not being sarcastic. If you ignore it, you could really hurt your way of living as you grow older.

Or your being a jerk because it seems to be a defensive mechanism for you.

Good luck with that.

JDMINOlONIMDJ, not sure what point your trying to make. I'm sure anyone here could google search for some blue guff, a pic of Jack, and throw it together in less than 10 minutes.

A logo should take a decent while to consider, never mind draw. Logo's that aren't properly designed are pretty much irrelevant - you might as well worry about what font you'll use rather than any design aspects.
The most remarkable logo's out there took days to produce, and decades to evolve.

How would an extremely low res screengrab of Jack even be considered a remotely good desktop just because you added blue smears all over the image?

Seriously, you're arguing about something that is extremely variable. You can make a good wallpaper in 10 minutes (not really your example) and you could make a good wallpaper in a few weeks. It just depends on how complex you want to go with it.

As for the logo... Yeah, there is conclusive evidence that you did indeed steal that image. The odds have to be very near the odds it would take a monkey to randomly type shakespeare if that logo you 'made' happened by accident, lol.

Am I the only person who finds it weird that people are emailing shaun with logo requests after clear evidence of plagiarism? Normally we have a massive community uprising at even a hint of copying.

The banner isnt being used for commercial purposes so i can use it. (If the requester has a problem with that he can contact me)

I did what he requested, no special requests (Such as royalty free image) was made.

Um no, just because it's not for commercial purposes doesn't mean it's free for use. By that logic you could just give out any media you want, as long as its free.

I would have thought that making a logo royalty free is sort of obligatory, to be honest. Technically just posting up that banner is illegal

No you can't! Quite seriously, you cannot continue like this. If you don't understand what copyright or plagiarism is, you will not only get yourself into trouble, but anyone who uses your services too.

On your theory we can now all use the logos/banners/everything you ever made.

Only if you get permission from the author, and then its still probable that you wouldent be able to use it commercially. You Definatly cant pass it off as your own. Like BatVink said, if you do your gonna get into some serious trouble
