^ Clicking above will bring you to my new website design. I decided to go with something a little more compact...and GREEN. This design enables other features for the future, as well as compact code. I decided to use an iframe under the navigation bar to create the illusion that the website is going "under" it.

Let me know what you think/how it displays! It's technically "two" sites, one for the UI, and the other one (hosted on FreeWebs) for easy posting!

Thanks!

The navigation buttons and the header both look a little squashed, mainly the nav buttons. The iframe for the content I really don't like though, I can't really see any advantage to using it apart from the 'going under' effect, but i'd rather be able to see more content at once.

Other than that, it looks great. Simple and easy on the eyes, and nice colour choices. Ditch the iframe and i'll have no complains.

I like the effect of the nav-bar being "always visible", but I'm also not a huge fan of the iframe -- I prefer using the main scrollbar as opposed to using the inner scrollbar. Secondly, if somebody opens up any of your pages in a new window, then you lose the iframe altogether.

I really like the overall design of your website, however. If you could look into the nav-bars that "follow" you as you scroll, or just use a simply stationary nav-bar at the top, then I think it would make your site much better.

Thanks guys, but here's a link to the "iFrame" content.

You can see that by using the iFrame you're not losing much content, but I see where you are coming from.

Needs some work before it'll look pretty in IE due to the PNG graphics.

It similar to a design I recently did, keeping the header/nav at the top with a drop-shadow over the body. The only difference is I didn't use an iFrame and the body scrolls with the page as normal while the header stays put, like gbark explained. Simple enough to do, except IE takes a few tricks (but no JS needed).

It looks fine, but the mail/rss buttons are somewhat hidden behind the nav. And because of the transparent parts of the nav bar, the buttons look more visible than they really are, as most of it is technically behind the navbar and unclickable except at the very top of the graphics.

Thanks everyone, made some changes. I moved the non working rss feed and e-mail button up to the top, and made the logo a link to the home page.
