Hey, just wanted to let you know I played it and loved it!

Great Job on the game and BOTB.

Btw what starter is that you used? A custom one, or one you can download and use. I liked it.

can't download! sorry! My IP address is shared with my whole city, so megaupload says "download limit exceeded" I tried 4 times at interval of 4 hours each day. And I also tried premium link generator sites to download this file, at first it broke after downloading 5 MB, and now, I set it to download through whole night while I was sleeping (using megaupload premium link generator) and in the morning it was again broked after downloading 54.9 MB. So much bandwidth wasted for no reason. Can you please upload it to a file storage service which have no limits to the downloaders? I really want to play this. Thanks

For example,
You can use MediaFire, It is free and it have no limits

YearCut

EDIT: Just to let you know, this is happening to me because I have slow internet connection and my IP is shared and umm.... I just think rapidshare and megaupload both hates me, i can't download a single file in a year.

Once Again,
YearCut

It's a custom launcher created for Deprivation.
Wolf sent me the graphic and I programmed the launcher for him.

I also created a completely customizable Launcher last year, maybe I'll post that app here, too.

@ PWProductions: I`ve answerde ya Thanks a lot!

@Devastaor: Well, if you want to play some videogames, I would suggest you to get a graphics card...these Intel Chips suck.

@KeithC: Thanks! I really appreciate it

@Yearcut: last time I used Mediafire, these jackasses wanted me to get a premium account before giving me the link (after hours of uploading).

@General Jackson: Use the Switch in the last room

@Sven: Just download Direct X 9:

That's odd. You must'a clicked somethin' wierd, I always use Mediafire and have a free account. They've never mentioned Premium.

Played and loved it. Great job!

On a serious note, good things:

I thought the games color palette worked really well. I spent a lot of time looking at paintings and stuff (I think the first time I've done that in an FPSC game). The layout felt pretty real (and reasonably lived-in); not just random junk. I liked the gun sounds and texture alterations quite a bit. The global resolution of the graphics was good and high for all but a couple props here and there. The audio was nice and clean. I didn't ever fall through the map and the FPS was good throughout with only a little slowdown in the last fight.

On the negative side:

I didn't really like the health and weapon HUD pics. I think the would have looked cooler in negative and with blacks alpha'd out or something.

On the guns, if you use AirMod runy=x offset, you must add a setting for simplezoomspeed=x to keep the transition from standing to running smooth. The poping between the two Y positions looks buggy without it. Overall, I thought there were way too many guns. I actually only used the M9 99% of the time because it worked best for headshots at the distances encountered. The weapon stats could be better tuned to suit your gameplay scenario and make them have clearer advantages/disadvantages. You might need to add a firerate check in AI script because they seemed to do the SPAM-fire thing when they are far away.

Last crit is that the sharpening used on the snitch/SWAT guy betrays the textures low resolution size (I think they're 512x512) Might be better to up the size to 1024 before sharpening. Yes, I know I'm nitpicking but that's a good sign!

Maybe it was because my fail was 600 MB large

@EAI:

Ha! Cool! Most of the paintings where drawn by myself

Quote: "I liked the gun sounds and texture alterations quite a bit"

Thanks! Love to hear that from you

Would be a nice concept too...I fear that i`m the only person who likes those huds Anyway! I`m trying something new for my upcoming game "Euthanasia" (HUD Graphics in X Ray Design )

Ah! Thanks! Good to know!

Jeah, I noticed that... most people that wrote me reviews pointed out that the weapon balancing was screwed up. I really worked on it for my actual creation. Thanks for noteing

I actually did that, but the result wasn`t that great =P

Well, the screenshotts look really nice, and extremely detailed for an FPSC game.

Just waiting for the download, so I can judge gameplay.

You know what kinda kills the fell for this. FPSCs peeking error. If you peek, enemies wont see you, but you can shoot them. But that is not your fault and that happens in every FPSC game wich has peeking.

Just finished this... great single-level FPSC game! I think you balanced-out the ammo perfectly; not too much, not too little. The layout was fascinating... The only 2 drawbacks for me were that in some areas it was a bit too dark, and there were too many static trash obstacles. If the corners of the really dark areas were lightened just a tad, the artwork could have been much better appreciated. Also, if some of the static obstacles (which I kept getting stuck on, of course!) were made dynamic, they could've been used as sound triggers for the enemies... now THAT would've made this PERFECT.

Overall, great game - THANKS!

When this baby hits 88mph, you're gonna see some serious sh..!

I really liked this. The only problem I found with it is, trying to cover in FPSC. The enemies just reaked havoc on your health.

Well, there actually is one cheat in this game. And in tactical shooters in FPSC. Peeking. If you peek, the enemies don't notice you. I went throught this without doing that, but in hte 3rd of 4th try, I just wanted to try it and... well. It works. So if you are really desperate and want to cheat (wich is not what I usually do, but I tried it for fun), then that is what you want to do...

Its rare I see something in fpsc that I want to see in a higher rez, nice video, last time I used fpsc, which for me was a few years back, the bots stood dancing around like morons, this seemed much more realistic, is this down to the new dark AI I heard a while back was coming to fpsc, or is this a custom script or just effective sound design that makes a more immersive feeling and therefore negates the standard, or at least what was to my knowledge the standard ai a few years back?

Great work Wolf; you're very consistent with your development. Did you improve upon the weapon fire sounds? They seem much better/robust.

I don't think anyone who aims to create somewhat interesting gunfights would even look at the stock AI. Its good to get an idea of FPI Scripting reading through them...thats all.

Thanks! No, same as in downloadable version. I recorded the same builded game I released a year ago. (Of course, this version has custom gun sounds...I guess thats a standart nowadays.)
