So i'm finally getting another website up in the hopes of getting work that isn't passed through friends.
Problem is, i had a website a few years back with GoDaddy(don't recommend them) and thats the only experience i have with web hosting/domain registration in general.
I'm just wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction to a relatively cheap hosting company based in the UK, as i don't really know where to begin. I've give google a search for some companies but i wouldn't mind getting some customers opinions. Keep in mind I don't need massive amounts of space or any fancy features, wouldn't mind an email but it just has to be relatively reliable.

www.justhost.com is looking good at the moment.

I'm with Dreamhost, and I have to say I'm incredibly happy with the service. Its not based in the UK, but its probably one of the best hosting companies I've used so far.

However the only problem I have with Dreamhost is the slow FTP transfer. I can never seem to break past 200 kb/s


JustHost seems good, but I've never trusted sites that pops up with a Chat client when I try close the browser.

Noticed that not long after i posted, put me right off...

I suggest daily.co.uk pretty good prices for hosting, domains are great around £5.00 for a .co.uk for 2 years. No issues with domains so far

Best IMO

Yeh they seem to come across with a jokey sort of attitude, but thats sort of one reason why I like them. Its quite refreshing.
