I visit this forum daily but today morning when I hit the forum it don't opened. I think it was down for like 2-3 hours cuz all other websites are working fine and I also visited the forum using a U.S. proxy, but it still didn't showed up so, I think it is not just me. Have you guys suffered from this?

Same. Something tells me the forums were being upgraded to perhaps have a few new features? One could only hope.

I have never seen such wide spread issues....

Yeah, exact same to me. I can visit thegamecreators.com but not the forum.

And I didn't got any massages like "The forum is being upgraded" or something. It shows just a default error firefox shows =/

In those hours I was really getting mad. I even thought what if their server is crashed or something all those huge threads of useful stuff will be gone.

Happy to see it back again =D

I guess a coincidence then, gmail still take about 10 mins to load so it must be my country having problems with international sites......

No offense to you or anyone else for that matter, but isn't South Africa the part of Africa that is generally economically balanced? I'm not sure, it's just I notice a lot of wealthy people and nice places to live in South Africa.

Yeah.

Quote: "generally economically balanced"
Well technical speaking we are a first world country however due to people living in shacks and the housing standard in generally poor we are classified as a 3rd world country.I could be wrong there are few more factors that might have been taken into account.

Johannesburg is the fastest growing city in Africa.

Yeah Cape Town is pretty good place to live.Still not that expensive some suburbs in Johannesburg easily fetch 4.5 million Rand upwards..

However we are going to have the most expensive power in 3 years in the world....The company who supply's power needs to expand its capacity, a 350 Billion rand project and we have to pay for it.

We also still have some of the highest internet charges. We pay like 10 dollars a gig...

could we get a "down for maintenance. estimated return 12:00pm"- type page? i had assumed it was maintenance but ~12 hours later i had considered clearing my cache (which i'd rather not do) and looking into the possibility that it was something on my end that was stopping me from getting into the forums (shows how much faith i have in the current IE). anyway, a courtesy notice (before-hand would be even nicer, when possible) would be much appreciated.

Yes, that would be a good idea. I was looking around the tgc website looking for a "down for maintenance" type sign.
