Hi !

What is the best way to read realtime data in DBP?

We have situation ,where my DBP program should
get running time from another program.(HH.MM.SS).

What should I tell to programmers of that program?
Which kind of data they should give?

You can use
- Clipboard
- Registry
- Memblocks
- Memory

now it's up to you and your programmer to find the best solution for your problem.

you forgot directplay over a network if it is between 2 programs, this may mean 2 computers.

If it's running time from a program you've made, you can use a timer for that program.

This has "Fiasco" written all over it.

Thanks for the replys !

It´s the running time of the videoclip on a videoserver.
I can ask for directplay maybe and if they can´t give
it ,then I suggest clipboard.

Writing and reading from file might be too slow?

Reading and Writing files should be very quick, but that dependes on 3 things, speed of your processor, speed of you HD and how much data is being writen or read.
