I noticed one of the most common promblems in an electric stove is the infinity switch goes bad. I also noticed that alot of people dont know how to replace it. So i made a video tutorial on how to replace it. Here is the nlink. Mods if this post is not appropriate gladly do delete it, i am just trying to help peoples.

um, that was hillarious!

all i could suggest is that you post a disclaimer reading "I am not a licensed technician. View at your own risk!" because some of your "technique" is probably not the safest way to approach electricty. otherwise, thanks for the chuckle

Hey virtual i know i am not a licensed technician, But i have lots of experience with fixing stuff. The thing was that was the first time i made an instructional video and was nervous. So i kept screwing up. I have done everythign from wiring car alarms to ceiling fans. I'm only 16 years old but my dad doesnt knwo much about electrcity so i have been fixing stuff. In fact i have been workign with electrcity since 1st grade but back then it used to be small motors with batteries.

it was informative and might be helpful to some, i suppose, so i apologize for not including that in the first post.

but, you must admit there are some funny moments throughout. ie, "this knob is just called 'the knob'" and "you don't wanna get shocked by 240 volts. i have and it doesn't feel too good".

regardless, the next time i need to replace an infinity switch, i know where to go. thanks!

That's pretty cool, I'll bookmark this thread for future reference. The stove in our dorm always loses its connection, so you have to jiggle the burner around until it sparks and starts heating up.

Hey BearCDP;
I know what you need to replace. That parts only aout 12 dollars. I had to repalce that also. If you want i can make a video on how to do that. Just let me know if u need help with that.

@Quik Thanks for the nice comment. I was definetly nervous, because that was the first time i made a video tutorial for youtube.

I also have a youtube question. When you upload a youtube video how do you seperat the tags. IS it supposed to be with space or commas or what.
