I have 2 network shares mapped in XP, but anytime I reboot I have to click on them in File Explorer to be prompted with the login so programs can access the shares. It's very annoying and I don't know why it doesn't show me any option to save or remember the password. Any suggestions?

are you using Home Edition? They disabled the feature in Home

I don't think gamer knows what I'm talking about. I remapped the drives with no luck. It's a minor issue but still annoying. I think my only option if Windows can't remember my user/pass is to make a batch file and throw it in startup.

Try using an alternative wireless networking client instead of using windows?

On my Lenovo laptop they had a nice piece of software installed that handled the connection much better than windows did

Windows Vista 32-Bit Home Premium Intel Pentium Dual-Core @ 1.46Ghz 2038mb RAM

Try running this in a command prompt

net use I: \\server\folder /savecred

There is no wireless Nightmare, its all gigabit ethernet. This isn't my password to connect to a network, just a resource on the network, a folder on my NAS.

I'll try net use with persistent on, then try the savecred switch if it doesn't restore.
