That's awesome! But is there a missing mouse in the screen with the computer? Or is it just behind it? Because... using computer without mouse is kinda hard. xD

Great Screens!

Are those walls destroyable upon contact with bullets and such? Or just for looks?

you are a great level designer, and by the rez of those screens, it looks like you're using 160000000000000x aniscopic filtering.

Glad I generated an idea. I for one have already accomplished the effect using butter cutters in the past. It was a pain but it was one really cool effect. Won't give away how I did it but I'm sure you'll figure it out.

May add another unique aspect to your game (destroyable environments)

Small Update:
I'm replacing all of the gun sounds with more realistic costume sounds.

Progress Update:
Replaced most of the sounds of guns that will be used in the game.
Retextured the M9 pistol.

I will post a pic of the retextured gun shortly after I make some final touches...

I downloaded EFXmod v2 today, because I always wanted to check it out.
The first look was breath taking, but that breath came back too quickly. Here are some pros and cons with using EFXmod.
Pros:
-Bloom
-Water
-Basically every thing that has to do with graphics

Cons:
-No AirMod support (meaning, shooting = less fun)
-Slow framerate on some computers
-Glitchy wall textures and shadows
-Wierd stretched entity's that just poped up out of no where
-Trigger zones sometimes don't work

So the question for now is should I sacrifice gameplay and my time for pretty graphics (although the graphics before EFXmod aren't ugly at all IMO)?

Stuff EFXmod. Never sacrifice gameplay for graphics. You game looks really nice as it is (although I still think that the blood texture is too red).

Thats the price of using a crappy mod.Try placing a segment outside the level somewhere. That will force FPSC to rebuild everything.

Hey well what do you know, you were right!
I'm now applying some finishing touches to level 1 as you can see the progress report in the first post it's on 98%.And I sketched out some blueprint for level 2 that will be used (I really recommend doing this).By the way, would you be interested in seeing the early blueprints as a bonus of some kind?

As I said, here are the level sketches fol level 1.
I found a LOT of blueprints for my older unfinished games,so tell me if you want to see those too,out of curiosity.
These are pictures of just a few sketch examples for level 1.

Pssst...here's a little sneak preview of what the begining of the second level is going to look like...

Oh and "skladiÅ¡če" means storage room....

Well, I can't really tell anything right now, before you have new sreens, wich are always awesome, or something else like that. I can't tell much about the blueprints, becouse I don't really do blueprints...

I love seeing those of us who draw their maps before they make them. Zay, you remind me of me, yet somehow with sharper edges in your levels.

Hmmmm...I tried testing the almost finished level 1 but It gave me a generic error.Soooo....I try to test it again soon, because it takes about 15-20 min .

Important Question:
Is it possible that if you destroy an object a door opens?

It should be. Not sure thou, but I'm sure it's possible, after all people made Nuclear Explosions, so I think opening a door should be possible by breaking something

yeah. make it trigger the object and give it a spawn life of like 1. it will just immediately explode (if explodable) when the door opens. (ifuesd spot)

Darn...I'm still getting this damn error
And to top it all off,it's just a generic (post it on bug forum) error, meaning it doesn't say what is wrong.

Anyway, there's a new feature in Cryopreservation,it's a fully functional flashlight. Not a stupid hud trick, but a fully dynamic light that lights up the spot where your looking.

And Don't forget to check out http://cryopreservation.weebly.com/ on wich is now a progress blog you should check out occasionally.

Thanks MD123!

So I tried countless time today to get the door open when I destroy an entity like a plank, but I failed.
So I'm asking if anyone knows how to do this so he can help me out?

The FPSC can't save your lightmaps.

Use less lights or lower your lightmapquality.

Thanks Wolf,it worked!
I have finally get to test my game after some time and made some screenshots. After I got past the testing error,I encountered another problem with segments that I applied metro theater shaders to it.
They did respond to light...so thats a no-no.
Any-who,I have reduced the lightmapquality I personally think it kinda ruined the game, but I'll let you guys decide as well.
Oh and if anyone is interested helping me out,I'm in a need of a hobo makeover (retexture) .
Thats all for now.
Cheers!

It's a shame...
155+ views on the site and not one reply.
Oh well,I'm slowly working on the second level with no problems so far ,and I'm thinking of adding one or two weapons to the game.
So here's my question for today, what weapons from EAI should I add to Cryopreservation?

The floor texture,is from a segment pack I found on a German site,I think it's from Wofl. What effect do you mean?

Dr Parsnips:
Quote: "I like the pistol you are using currently! what sort of weapon do you want for your game?"

Thanks.I would want a weapon that's used by the police and/or gangs.
Something that will fit the whole urban feel.

Cyclone:

Thanks man, yeah you may be right. It's should be more dirty.

I'm thinking of changing the hand texture,to a texture that shows bare fingers. What do you think about that?
And also,do you know a fenixmod script for a good non-lagish bloom effect?

Nice! I like the retextures to EAIs gun and hands. This project is going GREAT!

When do you plan on releasing a demo? I seriously want to play this!

BTW How did you get MC Crazy's neon lights to light up like that? Did you place several small ranged lights.

I don't really have much to say other than that the screenshots look very good! I've been playing the Half-Life games again recently, and this seems to have a similar feel in terms of quality. Keep it up.

Maybe I'll release a demo when I'm fully done and happy with level one.

Seriously...I have no idea.It just worked!I used only one light, because of frame rate and loading sake.

Great new screen!

Anyways attached you'll find simple re-textures of a gun and hand I made myself.
Ignore the backdrop lol, I just opened up an old level I thought fit in with the re-tex.

...sry its kind of big.

Quite nice,very old looking

The game is going smoothly and I'm thinking of using Xara mod in the future. It looks amazing and has a new dynamic character shadows feature witch is awesome.
Bellow is a new screen of a sewer/basement pass to the subway maintenance room.
Tell me what you think!
