pfff, I always did that. I've been chewing gum since about 2 months after I got them on. It never really got stuck in my teeth. At least not for me.

Well, I've a friend who recently had her braces removed after six. Despite a botched operation which broke a tooth and then another later on due to accidental stress on a gum, it turned out that she didn't need them after all and if anything they've made a bad situation.

It really is hard to trust medical "professionals" these days.

Yikes Nex that's scary! Dentists take one look at my jaw and they shudder. I need a lot of work and brace's were once on the list, but different dentists think different ways will fix me up!

I'm so scared right now...

I'm gonna have to get braces soon. I should have gotten them when I was younger, but we could never afford it and thanks to some identity theft that happened to my mom...yeah, you can see why we put it off.

My teeth aren't horrible, but if I don't get braces soon my teeth will be pretty uneven.

I had such teeth when I was 11. I had like two rows of teeth (one in front of the other), but my parents could'nt afford braces, cuz' they where kind of expensive back in the old days (30 years ago). Two years ago I had all my teeth pulled, because I had two wisdom-teeth that where'nt come out yet, and they started to rot from inside and infected all my other teeth aswell. It costed me about 1000 euro for the false teeth, and another 600 euro for the operation.

Cheers

Ouch.

Pretty much the reason my teeth are uneven is because of my canine teeth (they also look almost like fangs, which made me think I was possessed when I was younger. ). They get pulled and I get braces, then my teeth will go back to even probably within a year, if not sooner (I don't really know that for sure, that's just my guess).

Being 18 and having the prospect of getting braces right before my eyes is kind of...well, making me feel super self-conscious. I'm already too self-conscious about my smile, so adding braces will worsen that, but hey, the teeth simply need work done. So I'll deal with it.

I had a caved-in right pallete. (i think that's how it's spelled) Basically the right side of the top of my mouth was caved in... so it was uneven. I had to wear an expander for years. It hurt tons.
