Some strange happenings here.

My wacomm bamboo keeps becomming unresponsive while streaming.

The ring light normally dims on and off like a gradient but when it 'freezes' it flashes on off without the dim + faster. IO havnt timed it but it seems to only happen when im streaming, well at least only happened with One piece. Its been fine up to now and has never done this before even when streaming other media.

During this , the buttons dont work on the pad and the pen does nothing whatsoever, it dosnt even recognise movement because if it did, the full screen mode timeline bar would popup.

The only way to fix it is to unplug it from the usb.

I wondering if anyone has had this problem before? Or at the least knows a solution since it cant be a healthy sign. Ive had it just over a year so its warrenty is gone. I ve never had any problems like this before even if i left my computer for 4-7 hours while rendering the tablet worked stright away.

Its happened about 6 times so far, twice today.

Could it just be the full screen or something worse. Any help would be great.

I've had problems like this when I've had either a wireless mouse hooked up, or the battery for the pen was going dead. Otherwise, no idea what is going on. :S

Wacom use patented technology that negates the necessity for a battery.

Athlon64 2.7gHz->OC 3.9gHz, 31C, MSi 9500GT->OC 1gHz core/2gHz memory, 48C, 4Gb DDR2 667, 500Gb Seagate + 80Gb Maxtor + 40Gb Maxtor = 620Gb, XP Home
Air cooled, total cost £160

FAIL

An ad for Bamboo was in this post. Terrible timing.

Maybe One Piece is a big file to stream...And it can't handle it well. Try it with a smaller video.

"And we played the first thing that came to our heads...Just so happened to be... the best song in the world...

it was the best song in the world..."

Quote: "Under the tablet's surface (or LCD in the case of the Cintiq) is a printed circuit board with a grid of multiple send/receive coils and a magnetic reflector attached behind the grid array. In send mode, the tablet generates a close-coupled electromagnetic field (also known as a B-field) at a frequency of 531khz. This close-coupled field stimulates oscillation in the pen's coil/capacitor (LC) circuit when brought into range of the B-field. Any excess resonant electromagnetic energy is reflected back to the tablet. In receive mode, the energy of the resonant circuit’s oscillations in the pen is detected by the tablet's grid. This information is analyzed by the computer to determine the pen's position, by interpolation and Fourier analysis of the signal intensity. In addition, the pen communicates other vital information, such as pen tip pressure, side-switch status, tip vs. eraser orientation, and the ID number of the tool (to differentiate between different pens. mice, etc.). For example, applying more or less pressure to the tip of the pen changes the value of the pen's timing circuit capacitor. This signal change can be communicated in an analogue or digital method. An analogue implementation would modulate the phase angle of the resonant frequency, and a digital method is communicated to a modulator which distributes the information digitally to the tablet. The tablet forwards this and other relevant tool information in packets, up to 200 times per second, to the computer."

Sound like magnetic interference could be a problem, but doesn't sound likely.

It sounds like a software/hardware problem. Have you googled for driver updated or people with your model and similar problems?

Bamboo is a mysterious and elusive plant that baffles taxonomists who try to contain it within a botanical class and gardeners who try to contain it within a limited garden space as they learn how to grow bamboo. For many years, bamboo was thought to be a primitive grass but recent DNA testing has shown it to be one of the most highly evolved forest grasses. Two considerations in knowing how to grow bamboo successfully are air and water. All true bamboos are grasses and won't grow in saturated soils. They also need air circulation to thrive. In fact, some bamboo growers raise the pots of their small cultivars on chopsticks to provide air circulation under the plant as well as arou- Oh.

I've had a few friends have problems with the Bamboo, mainly the mouse jumping from one side of the screen to the other or it cutting out momentarily(ruining a nice stroke in ZB). I've got a trusty Intuos that i've never had any problems with. If you have a wireless mouse, try and unplug that as well as any other devices that might cause any kind of electrical interference.
What i'm wondering is why you are using your tablet to browse and stream videos from the internet, shouldn't you only really be in photoshop?

Wasn't sure if the pen had a battery. My last tablet I used, the pen took two AAA batteries. When they started to run low, the cursor would start to go wild.

Hmm, yes. The only problem I ever have with my Wacom rebadge is when I put it too close to the case. This means I can't put it on my netbook's keyboard...

Athlon64 2.7gHz->OC 3.9gHz, 31C, MSi 9500GT->OC 1gHz core/2gHz memory, 48C, 4Gb DDR2 667, 500Gb Seagate + 80Gb Maxtor + 40Gb Maxtor = 620Gb, XP Home

I use my tablet for everyday things, Ps and 3ds max. The buttons give me a better workflow, along with better control.

The drivers have been updated, i tired that first.

Thiers nothing to casue interferance in my house, its a network deadzone. The wifi cant get through the floor nevermind the next room.

lol @ Oolite
i never knew bamboo was considered a 'true' grass

The fail pic was great.

Its still cutting out so ill try a new Usb port since my keyboard has actws funny aswell now -_-""""""""

Signal strength is rarely equal to signal quality, you can have a strong signal that is all garbled. You might have a room full of stray microwaves which are so messed up and noisy that devices can't understand them.

Athlon64 2.7gHz->OC 3.9gHz, 31C, MSi 9500GT->OC 1gHz core/2gHz memory, 48C, 4Gb DDR2 667, 500Gb Seagate + 80Gb Maxtor + 40Gb Maxtor = 620Gb, XP Home
