My friends and I have always dreamed of making a game similar to the ancient Commandos. But there are lots of technical hurtles we would need to overcome.

I figure that a lot of other people will probably want to know how to over come these technical hurtles too, because a lot of them are common.

So as we figure them out, I shall explain them in the form of video.

I think that explains it very well...good job !

I do have one question and one bit of advice:

Question: Any particular reason you start from the target and path back to the player? It seems like the less obvious method.

Advice: Corners are important in pathfinding. If you use the corners of the level geometry as natural waypoints, you can both automatically generate the waypoint system for a given level AND have a more natural path without the constant raycast checks to the next waypoint.
