Recently I had to purchase a Microcassette recorder for an interview assignment at college the damn thing cost me £30 and I have finished the assignment. Any one got any ideas of a good use for it now that it has served it main purpose? I got 3 60Min cassettes with it and 1 15Min cassette also the recorder has a long-play (2x) facility. The only use I've found for it so far is making my friends voices sound funny by speeding them up. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

stalk a person, learn what bad things they did in the past, construct a deathtrap with a small chance of escape, catch the person, knock them out, put them in a deatdtrap, take your dictaphone, record yourself telling the person about the bad stuff they did in the past and this is their punishment because they dont appreciate life, but they have a chance to redeem themselves and ask them how much blood are they willing to shed for their freedom. and put the dictaphone somewhere where they can reach it and play it. after the tape is done playing, activate the deathtrap

dont hate people who rip you off,cheat and get away with it, learn from them

Keep it, you don't know what use it may come in later in life. I spent £25 on mine and I got it from Maplin and I am using it to interview people for my dissertation, my friend managed to buy one today for £15. I could have saved a few.

You might find yourself practising journalism for a website or other projects, getting primary research looks impressive on assignments (by primary research, I mean research you've acquired yourself and not from secondary sources) I might ask my Chaplain friend for an interview to do with his perspective involving religious issues for a community new website call iNewp. The guy is a lovely bloke, I had a coffee with him on Monday, couldn't love a guy more.

You never know, you might end up doing freelance stuff, it's a good investment for people doing journalistic things. Alternatively, you can sing badly down it and pretend you're recording a tape for a top record label.



Though as an apology, just in case my writing is a bit odd, I am slightly intoxicated. Cheap drinks night, not a good idea.

eh... an audio diary? Talk about what you did during the day and such... though you could easily do that with a PC and microphone (and it'd be easier to store and file too)...

In the beginning there was nothing. There'll be nothing in the end...

Yup, that's what I did with mine. It worked out great. My deathtrap was so good the guy couldn't get out.

Just keep it on you when you can. If you're like me (and of course, happen to be working on a project), you'll suddenly discover why your code doesn't work when you're doing something completely different. At this moment you'll want to note down your solution, and a dictaphone is handy for this (unless you're already sat at a PC or near a notebook or something).

or another reallly fun thing i used to do with mine when i was a kid, me and a cople of friends, made up a name for amade up radio station and had a crazy silly talk show with weird and stupid commercials and other hilarios stuff going on diring a talk radio program and stuff. we just pretended we were radio show hosts and guests and stuff, Its so funny to relisten especially if you convince yourself that its an actual radio program.
