because newer versions of flash seem more inefficient than before, i only get 1fps playback. But the "pictures" look great. For a second, I thought I was watching wild america or something. Top notch engine! I wonder what the system requirements would be

That was extremely impressive, and reminded me of the last level in Half Life 2 Episode 2, if someone were to have remade that level with far superior graphics!

The way detail just pops into view is very distracting. In the above image for example (~0:26) a bush just appears from nowhere.
The same thing happens with shadows on the rocks.

By way of demonstration, he emitted a batlike squeak that was indeed bothersome.

Some people have trouble with various aspects of game creation, yes. Glad it helped you out.

Is there any need to be sarcastic all the time. To be frank, it's starting to piss me off.

Nah: My point was, it's clearly a LOD system. But you can have LOD without blatant 'pop up' that the_winch was talking about - for example the object fade in HL2 has. Still a kind of 'pop up' but far more subtle. So explaining it away by just saying it's LOD doesn't really.... mean anything.

I probably should have just said that to begin with. I'm not sure why I just left it as just that sentence

Transitional Alpha fading on lowest lod levels could work nicely to reduce the 'popping' effect.

See, was saying it like that hard?

Why havnt i posted on this yet?? ive watched the stream 5-ish times already lol

Amazing work, cant wait to see where this goes, Your starting to challenge the likes of crytek engine in enviromental standards.

I read what keithC said and almost posted the exact same thing. It is a pretty obvious thing.

Anyways, the video looks awesome, but it still seems too low quality to be really impressive. Too fuzzy.

I think when Keith said 'LOD system' the emphasis was on system, as in the Leadworks LOD system in particular.

Well it seems that might be case, it's probably be something that can be hidden or worked around. Either way, this is pretty awesome. If you go into a freeview camera in Crysis, I believe you'll notice similar twitching, but in game it's less noticeable. However, I guess HL2 does the job well, but then I've not noticed, but at the same time, I've not seen a great number of trees or shrubs in HL2 either. Would HL2's system be more resource demanding?

That's pretty much it; but I admit it's hard to see that, when you're too busy trying to think up sarcastic replies...right David?

No? Really?

Wait...I'm not David, so I do apologise to both you, Keith and David.

Also...have I ever informed you of how unfortunate you are to possess the name 'Keith'? I was always worried about offending you, however, I am sure we know each other well enough now:

i dunno about that.. .cryengine 3 is coming along... very nicely. and iam not sure if this engine would be able to bear hand made leafs //meaning fully modelled leaves, not just planes with textures on\\ and such. BUT this engine is looking REALLY nice.

too bad my cousin isnt much into using an already existing engine in making games, otherwise i would use him as my coder slave, buy this, and... well, u know the rest^^ iam in love with this engine =)

Does anyone have a Leadwerks tech demo showing some gameplay?

The map looks fantastic and everything looks very nice but how about some decent character / creature models with animations and gameplay.

There was a mistake in the way it was recorded. The artist had some settings that were weird. I'll post another one later.
