I found this really really cool program (commercial software for hospitals, not freeware), that accurately simulates a 3 dimensional human heart. Able to be "sliced" in any plane, and viewed as a 2d ultrasound image. Check it out, it's really amazing IMO.

I guess it's not for the faint of heart? I don't really know what grosses people out, but keep in mind, if you are squeamish, it IS a *realistic* simulation of an internal organ. If you wouldn't want to look at a real human heart, don't look at this, i guess.

Pretty interesting. I watched open-heart surgery before, so this really isn't anything nasty to me. It's funny, people will never watch surgery or human organs in an educative state, but they will go watch a movie with people getting ripped in half, getting their skulls crushed, etc. but yet nobody ever thinks anything of it.

Temporarly away from the Phoenix Sentry.

No I wont.

Jeku always gets drunk and tries to Moderate the ocean. Tirelessly slapping the waves as they roll in.

It's more of a mental thing. Like, Paranormal Activity. That movie got so popular without having any gore effects, a HORRIBLE script, and being low budget. Why? Because it gave a "real time" perspective. People can watch other people dying in flashy, gory ways because they know subconsciously it's for entertainment. When watching surgery, even a fake surgery, people know this really goes on everyday for everyone at some point usually.

They have this for the entire human body. It lets you slide through it and see everything from the outside skin through to the nervous system, muscle system, skeletal system and internal organs. Theyre also working on a virtual reality simulation that lets doctors manipulate the 3D models with VR gloves as if they were actually touching them. The system can apparently read in data of a real organ or limb and reconstruct the model to simulate it's properties and whatever issues there are with it (a broken bone for example) to let the doctors get a better idea of how to deal with it.
