I did the process correctly and received an email from hotmail to reset my password. I put in my email address, and this, 'The Windows Live ID is incorrect. Please try again.' is the message I get back.

any ideas of what causes this? googled it, but no luck

Dude, this is like the 5th thread you've created asking for help on deciphering errors from other company's products. Why can't you email them and ask? That error message sounds descriptive enough to me

Please ask the respective companies, as all your threads just end up in flames and locked in the end.
