Hi guys! It's me again, after like months of not being here - sort of moved away from Game dev to Web dev, but I still love the TGC community!

But now, I've got a new project you guys may be interested in if you're into web development:

howCode.com

It's basically a snippet-sharing site, but, reinvented. It combines a social platform with some awesome code features that let you submit code and web development tutorials using BBCode-style markup, giving you essentially creative freedom over your submission. Users will be able to vote and rate each submission, and the goal is to provide one central platform for web developers to share their CSS, PHP, JavaScript, XHTML, jQuery etc. code online.

I saw there are loads of different snippet-sharing sites online, but none provide a really engaging platform. With howCode, I aim to run community competitions to encourage innovation, as well as encourage commenting, feedback etc. from other members.

I plan on releasing a Beta in about 2 - 4 weeks. I'm working with a designer in the US to make this as awesome as possible for you guys. So, visit the site, leave your name and email (you'll get one email, it's encrypted, nospam guarantee) and I'll send out an email in the coming weeks with a passcode for you guys to test the site.

Hope you like!

That beta request form looks awesome. But I'm not going to sign up for something if I don't know what it is.

Maybe either let us browse around not signed in, or give us screenshots and stuff.

You asked for screenshots, you're gonna get screenshots!

OK all. Let me explain. THIS IS NOT FINAL.. In fact, it's not even a start. I'm working with a designer who has created an awesome page layout for this - the same designer who designed the beta sign up form you guys love. Give your credit to him, he's doing the design, I'm doing the code.

I made the design in the screenshot which is why it's a load of rubbish, but I've seen a preview of what he's got and believe me it looks awesome. So, this design which I've posted below I made and is NOT what the final outcome will look like - this is just to preview some of the features for you guys. Hopefully I'll have the design sliced and ready for more screenies by the end of the week.
