Geek Culture / CD Drive making an INCREDIBLE amount of noise!

Every time I put in a CD it runs and does everything perfectly, but it makes this really loud ERRRRRRRRRR, noise on the start up, should I be worried? Also I know this is incredibly dumb, but if this is the noise they are supposed to make I wouldn't know I barely use CD's.

Well, lucky you that you have a working CD Drive.lol But the ERRRR sound could just be it starting up, I know when my one worked it did that quite alot.

If it's just a loud whir, it's probably okay. If it has hints of grinding, it's probably bad.
