I found this free to play MMO called Allods Online. Ive always been looking for a fun free to play MMO because some of my friends play WoW and I wasnt about to pay monthly for a video game The game is still in open beta, so there is bug fixing. But anyways:

haha clone is the wrong word, since wow "was" a "clone" of practically every MMO before WoW, i play allods, not much tho since i play WoW¨^^ it is a nice game, for being free and still in BETa, needs a lot of work though.

I was going to say, "I love it when people say an MMO is a copy of WoW, because WoW is a copy of every MMO before it." Then I played allods lol. I actually feel like I'm playing WoW when I play it.

It's an incredible game for it being free-to-play. Most free-to-play games are crap. I'm really enjoying it so far.

It is free and fun. At least I think so. The best free one out there. All mmo's are so similar anymore, there is no need to base it off WoW or vice versa. I mean I've never played WoW, but theres is no need to say that every mmo is based off of it. I'm tired of hearing that in every mmo I've tried But it is fun.

I'd be surprised if this stays free forever. They'd have to have a source of income from somewhere I haven't played it, but I assume they have some kind of store where you can spend money on micro-transactions for items and things like that.

Yeah, there's an in-game store where you can spend money on things. I never do though. I hope it stays free forever.

well, since a company called uhh cant think of the name atm, but anyhow, many companies who makes free to play MMOs with stores, works fine, as long as they dont sell imba items like "200000 more attack power!!! booooost!!!" (ive seen a few companies do that but some acually does.) it is totally fair, and nice. ^^

well the thing is allods graphics are very similar i style to WOW graphics so allodes is actually a wow clone. Wow ha a pretty unique graphic style. also isnt allodes a russian game, imight be wrong because this game is kinda popular in russia, more popular than wow even

Allods is a Russian game. Even if it may be based off of WoW, I just dont think there is reason to trash on a game because it looks like it. Which happens a lot in-game.

omg, so if i make a game with familiar graphics to Half life, it would be a half life clone?

ur totally failing there...

i play WoW every day and when i played Allods, i didnt even get any WoW feelings, at all. Allods battle system is nothing like WoW, the worlds is totally different, the graphics is, tbh, nothing like WoW, the story isnt even related.

I played this till about level 12.. Then I decided I prefered WoW/LOTRO and uninstalled it. It's a nice game for F2P, but I still prefer to hack some orcs into pieces or some funky Scourge slaying.

well half life 2 dosent count because its made to be realistic like many other games. wow has a sortof cartoony style. I dont know about you but i find allodes to look more similar to wow that other mmorpgs.

While we're at the WoW Comparisation, why not compare every single bloody MMO with it? They're MMORPGs! Thres BOUND to be similarities! And it's not like WoW OWNS the graphics style or UI design.. If it works fine why not base your game around it? How many times do I see WIP games around these forums with ideas/mechanics from other games? Well, there you have it. You can't make anything without stepping on anyone's toes for using something they used as well.. Who cares if it looks similar or feels similar? It's a whole different game with a completely irrelevant story/world to WoW. Hell, I heard people rant about how LOTRO was a WoW clone.. Seriously?

I think it's a decent game. It's actually developed by Nival, the same that created HOMM5, and the music is composed by Mark Morgan, so it's not that it's a low budget product. They've put some strong effort into this and I think it'll rule out Runes of Magic eventually.

I tried it out for about an hour, didn't like the combat. No auto-attack?(maybe i missed it somewhere) I played a mind magic character, and no matter what spells i used not once did it feel like I was actually damaging, let alone hitting the enemy...

Looks good though, and it'll probably be successful..but it's not for me.
