LOL! - I was thinking that too. I'm wondering how come Marcus has time to shave. Not exactly fair that he always makes an effort while the rest of them come to work how they please. I'm sorry, but people have to shave, it's the bane of your life as soon as your old enough - maybe they'll make a cut-scene of Marcus having a shave, with lots of ash floating about behind him and some 'sad orchestral #43'.
It's the knee-jerkingly-obvious trailer that we all expected. Let's show a scene full of emotion with the sad music, and maybe some corpses to show mankinds struggle against tyranny. Wonder where they got that idea - 100 bad hollywood movies and Halo3.
The annoying thing is that it just will not have that emotion in the game, it's 3rd person! - you can't show the player characters emotion from the back. And how many times should they run through an ash corpse of a mother and little kid - are these guys emotional because of Maria, the corpses, the impending doom, the music, or the ash in their throat that tastes of pork.
Personally, I think they should have sent non-Marcus off the rails a bit, make him reckless, make Marcus pee-d off with the fact that he hasn't had a holiday in years. They should just make the sort of video that countless angsty-14 year olds will make for youtube anyway.
I wonder if the music director is like the developers dad. They'd all like Pinkin Lark, or SOAD, or that song about bodies hitting the floor - but Dad is all like, ''NO, there's too much emotion (open palm points to non-Marcus' beard), we need to use my ambient orchestral stuff, and turn those sound effect down or theres no Halo3 before bed''.
In saying that, I'll buy it of course, I still haven't played through GOW2 - plan to finish it off on my projector for some added epic. I thought the first GOW was brilliant, and GOW2 was based on that, except they put some ridiculous platoons of enemies far away and pointless sometimes.
I'm mostly waiting on Red Dead Redemption 2 so GOW3 is just a sideways meh for me.
