It's not really a website, but more of a blog. I understand that it's fun to start up your own news company and bring news to the people, but most people are going to go to one of the bigger sites which have regular news updates covering a wide variety of articles and genres.
Try expanding the site to cover different formats, engines, releases or just funny articles. Embed a blog system inside an existing web design, not just a wordpress template, getting some game reviews, videos or FAQ section just to expand on what you have.

You definitely need to find out who your key audience is and make sure the news is relevant to them, it's OK posting that the new OpenGL is up, but if I really was interested in OpenGl I'd have known already, including what all the new features were. Try to give your opinion on the changes in a light hearted review, rather than just copying the features on the download page. You need something unique to your website, something that will make people come back. What i mentioned having light hearted articles about games or even a top 10 list. I can find all the basic information for new drivers, or software releases through google if I was interested, so why go to your site? Give it that special brummy flair and get down to writing some interesting articles.
