Its painfully good, very fast (both 2D and 3D). It has one or two issues, but that was to be expected, and these issues will no doubt be resolved in time (i'm also d/ling Patch 1 as I type this).

I'm still working with BSP though, i'm not sure the *.x/*.bsp compiler is working properly (But i've only tried a couple of quick, on the fly maps i've made this morning.).

Damn... I have a post info letter saying they couldn't fit it in the letterbox... must get bigger one... and I'm away for the weekend!!!! No!!! Will get it tomorrow and gaze at the packaging while wandering around Blackpool... darn it... Could take my laptop with me though.......
