Because UDK ate its vegetables.

No seriously, UDK graphics aren't amazing, it's up to the developer to make the amazing graphics.

GRAFIX OF UKD R BETTA BCUZ UDK IS BETA LOLS.

Seriously, what's happened to the community lately, there seem to be an awful lot of random threads with useless posts inside them. Surprise this didn't get a lock Thraxas, but then again, he didn't really break any rules.

UE3 (which UDK is based on) was programmed by very talented, experienced professionals, and the included assets were also created by talented experienced professionals. Epic are a big company and have a lot of money, so go figure.

The trouble is if I lock like this, then another one pops up saying I only locked it because UDK is better, and that the poster lives in a country which has freedom of speech, and I'm a fascist for locking it

I've been wondering if some of these random posts are spam bots trying to get a post approved and then coming back later to edit it. Unfortunately for them the edits need approving too, so if that is the case it's not going to work.
