Hi,

I noticed that I have quite a few arrays set up at the top of my program, so I checked how much RAM the game actually uses, and I was astounded that it used 211 MB of memory! Is this too much for a DBP game? What does it look like with your project?

Jebuz Crepes. What are you doing? Lots of objects on screen...?

My current project uses 4 - 10 MB of RAM.

Hehe.

I'm not sure how much RAM my projects ever took up, but definitely less than yours, Comet.

Been tinkering with a wave file splitter in PlayBASIC, which currently eats about 500 meg.

Mine uses all 4GB of my RAM. It then spills over onto the hard drive, and uses up all that's left of the 320GB. After that, my game, hungry for more RAM, opens Download.com and starts uploading the memory as much as needed. I'm thinking I might cut it back a little, but the graphics are so good I'm not sure I want to ruin it.

What do you think?

about 12mb and I've just started, literally a couple of arrays and less than 200 lines of code.

That is from the editor though, does DB.EXE use more RAM anyway?

[edit]
ah tested DB.EXE with just a WAIT KEY and it runs at 12.44mb, so my program is actually running off 200kb

Aww, Pagan beat me to it. - I was literally just going to post the words "over 9000" and close the thread without reading anything, but I guess I'll have to now I've been here long enough to type this.

EDIT:
According to task manager, Soup uses 123,000 K.
