It's the big release day today =D was just wondering who's going to be on, I hear that there's going to be several million beta testers. I personally can't wait and am very excited for it! Anyone else going to be playing? If so would you care to post you XBL tags so we can have a massive party? =)

I want it now, but they haven't posted the download. Its comes out at around 1pm ET I've heard, which is 10pm GMT I think? so I have to wait about 5 hours before I can even start the download and another two hours or more before I can play it because there's going to be such a massive amount of people connecting to download it.

Dude it's so impossible to play. So many people downloaded and played that they crashed the servers and it takes so long to get into a game. But I got into two games. A game of stockpile and Covy slayer. It was incredible.

I'm a bit dissapointed in it atm, thought that may be that every game I've played people forced me to play on capture the flag, which i hate in every game. I'll give it another go tomorrow but I doubt I'll be buying the finished product.

I'm sorry for you man :/ I've been playing all afternoon no problem. Having a hard time adjusting from mw2 though. I keep pressing the wrong buttons for melee!

Finally got it working. It is so addicting. The jetpack is easily my favorite, followed by the armor lock. It's fantastic.

Yeah, a lot of the more popular Machinima folks like Seananners and Hutch got codes early.

Downloaded it this morning, waited 15 minutes to get a match, got bored of waiting and got off. Annoying.

Halo: Reach, just sounds like another dead sequel which follows a completely different perspective than the old but decent Halo ...meh. I don't play on my Xbox anymore so I guess I can't get this, oh well [/sarcasm]. To me, I never liked Halo 3 onwards, the story was killed epicly IMO. H:R does sound good though, my bro should be playing it soon, so I can judge it then .

I agree they killed the story, halo 2 was OK, and halo 3 was disappointing...

Halo ODST was an excuse for some more money IMO.

Halo reach though, from what ive played, seems like they may finally have done something right. The multiplayer is amazing, i have no idea what the single player will be, but im hoping since its completely isolated from the original halo titles, they can tell a decent story.

But i absolutely love the reach beta so far. im pre-ordering the game asap.

Wow I sounded incredibly critical in my post "/...but it did get boring after H3 since there really wasn't a possibility of remastering the story after the first ending of Halo 3. I like the sound of Halo Reach following a different story, but let's hope it's not dramatically varied from the previous titles. Besides, I wouldn't really think of Halo 3 having the most spectacular graphics; they have the polish and glisten, but the textures are dim and rather basic (look at the textures in a Covenant ship, they look like they've been made in 2 minutes), but following that point, I could say the same for games like TD:U and Descent (FTW ).

I don't understand why people don't like Halo 3. That's still my favorite game. And yes, I've played Modern Warfare 2. Which is second. But still, I think the story they have going is great. And I loved ODST too.
But I think Reach is going to be a big success. Apparently it's going to feel and play much more like Halo 1.

So far its been a great game. They need to tweak the different abilities a bit but other than that no complaints. They were smart enough to inclue a no-ability playlist for people that dont like the fancy jetpacks and all that jazz and just want to stick to typical halo-ness.

I agree, They have overpowered the "noob" guns like the rocket launcher, plasma grenade gun and laser thing, and underpowered the Battle rifle and combine.

My favourite game types are Covy Slayer and Team Swat, because there is a lack of the noob guns which dominate a match!

I hate when FPS/Action games turn into a race to the explosive weapons. Just completely removes any sort of skill from a game.

since when did rocket launcher started to become a "noob weapon"? and "plasma grenade gun", which i take is a grenade gun with sticky granaades, when did this become noob weapons?

because it "requiers no skill"?

bullocks, they are necessary in any game with veichles, and it is just logical that u get one-shotted from a rocket launcher, and same goes to grenade launcher =P

tho in games without veichles, i hate bazookas and rocket launchers =P

Covie slayer is AWESOME....i dont know why it feels so different from the regular slayer, but i love it.

I still play halo 3 all the time, but i was talking about the single player...the stories for 2 and 3, well in my opinion anyway, were weak.

Hi people, I too have given it a run.

Bungie sent me a code to access the beta, so I dont need to run odst to play.
Invasion gametype will be added on May 7. Plus those having controller issues, they have allocated 6 different layouts. Choose Recon for H3 style.

demo released.
